CARE INSTRUCTIONS VANITIES • BASINS • TAPWARE • WASTES • BATHS STONE TOPS • TIMBER TOPS • MIRRORS • SHOWER GLASS

Laminate Vanities Keeping your vanity unit and shelves clean will help preserve them over the long term, and keep them looking fantastic. Clean regularly using mild soap, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. You can try making a paste consisting of 2 tablespoons of white vinegar and 1/4 of a cup of baking soda. Rub this paste into the stain and leave it for around half an hour before trying to clean the stain off again. It’s very important to use non-abrasive cleaners when cleaning your bathroom surfaces, no matter what material they’re made from; scratches can build up dirt and allow water into previously watertight areas. This can cause staining, water logging and provide fertile grounds for mould. This unit is water resistant only, not waterproof. Please make sure you wipe up any spills as soon as possible. Tightening or adjustment of your drawers and/or cabinet hinges and hardware tapware over time is considered general maintenance.

Timber Vanities To keep your Timber vanity in excellent condition, wipe up any water spills as soon as possible. General cleaning: Use a mild soap, with warm water and Micro Fiber Cloth for the best results. Wood stains can be complicated - these may require some light sanding and refinishing, but to keep the finish on your wood consistent you may have to cover much more than just the stained area. For bigger stains or stains on expensive wooden bench tops, it may be a good idea to hire a trained professional to come and do the job for you. Direct exposure to sunlight may cause this unit to fade, so please consider this prior to installation. This unit is water resistant only, not waterproof. Please make sure you wipe up any spills on your Timber vanity immediately. Tightening or adjustment of your drawers and/or cabinet hinges and hardware tapware over time is considered general maintenance.

Ceramic Basins Clean regularly using mild soap, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials (eg. Steel wool, scourers etc.), harsh detergents or citrus based cleaners on any basin products as these may cause scratching or damage to your finishes. Avoid any corrosive cleaners or bleach as this may cause damage to your basin and/ or waste. Tightening or adjustment of your tapware and basin waste over time is considered general maintenance.

Solid Surface Stone Basins Clean regularly using mild soap, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials (eg. Steel wool, scourers etc.), harsh detergents or citrus based cleaners on any basin products as these may cause scratching or damage to your finishes. Avoid any corrosive cleaners or bleach as this may cause damage to your basin and/or waste. If you have minor scratches, discolouration or scuff marks on your solid surface basin, you can use the blue Refinishing Pad enclosed with your basin. Using the refinishing pad and rubbing very gently in a circular motion, you can refinish the blemished section of your basin in no time. Do not scrub or rub hard – this may cause surface damage and impair your basins good looks. When you have removed the scuff mark or discolouration, simply wipe with a damp cloth. Tightening or adjustment of your basin waste over time is considered general maintenance.

Concrete Basins All Concrete Basins, Baths and tops should be cleaned using a mild non-abrasive cleanser. Please refrain from using scour pads on the concrete, as it can scratch your basin and breakdown the sealer Avoid exposure to concrete basins, baths or tops, which contains high levels of PH such as bleach and nail polish remover as they can strip the sealer and will expose the concrete to staining. Do not leave moist or wet products directly on concrete for a prolonged period. Remember if its wet, wipe it up to avoid potential marking. For dried spills, a wet cloth is recommended. For stubborn stains, use a non-acidic and non-abrasive cleanser. Avoid forceful scrubbing as this may result in loss of shine and remove the protective sealer used on our concrete basins, baths and tops. Direct sunlight can cause concrete to slowly discolour over a long period of time. Over time your concrete basins or tops, may develop scratches and marks from day to day use. Try to avoid impact on edges and the surface with hard objects. Each concrete basin, bath and top is sealed with a deep penetrative sealer so resealing is not required. Localised Heat: Concrete expands when it is exposed to heat. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and heat. This may result in damage to your basin, bath or top. Tightening or adjustment of your basin waste over time is considered general maintenance.

Tapware Clean regularly using mild soap and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials (eg. Steel wool, scourers etc.), harsh detergents or citrus based cleaners on any tapware products as these may cause scratching or damage to your finishes. Tightening or adjustment of Tapware over time is considered general maintenance. Regularly check and clean tapware aerators/flow restrictors. Spare parts are available if required.

Pop Up Wastes Regularly clean your pop up wastes using mild soap and a soft cloth. Remove the lever rod / connecting pin behind the waste to remove your pop up waste in order to thoroughly clean. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials, (eg. steel wool, scourer sponge etc..) harsh detergents or citrus based cleaners as these may cause scratching or damage t o your finishes. Lubricating pop up wastes approximately every 6 months is also recommended

Acrylic Baths Constructed from sanitary grade acrylic with a high gloss finish, Highgrove Acrylic Baths are designed to be really easy to clean! Clean regularly using mild soap (like dish washing liquid), rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or materials (eg. Steel wool, scourers etc.), harsh detergents or citrus based cleaners on any bath products as these may cause scratching or damage to your finishes. Avoid any corrosive cleaners or bleach as this may cause damage to your bath and/or waste. Your bath may lose its lustre over time; if this happens, polishing your bath can restore the shine it had when it was brand new. Liquid car polish will withstand the water and make future cleaning a snap. Clean your bath normally and remove any stains/discolouration. Then apply your liquid car polish as per the instructions, wipe off and buff. Once you’re finished, give the surfaces a good rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

Highgrove Stone surfaces are heat and water resistant, however they can be damaged by rapid surface temperature increases. Be careful placing hot appliances like your hair straightener on your stone surface before it’s had a chance to properly cool down. Our stone surface doesn’t need additional polishing or sealing.

Wooden Tops Highgrove Bathrooms Wooden Vanity tops are finished with an environmentally friendly, oil based protective coating which adds a layer of waterproof defence and is also safe for food preparation. If you need to cut your wooden top to install your basin or tapware, make sure you seal these cut-outs with an oil based lacquer prior to installing your tapware and/or basins. For added protection in wet areas, we advise applying a layer of oil based lacquer to further protect your wooden top surface. Always test any protective products in inconspicuous area before main application.

LED Mirrors Use a micro-fiber cloth to clean your LED Mirror. We recommend a mixture of equal parts of water, with either cleaning vinegar or glass cleaner to ensure your LED Mirror is clean and looks amazing for years to come. Carefully wipe away any toothpaste or splatters on your bathroom LED mirror. Avoid over spraying the LED Mirror with your cleaning mixture, instead apply a light mist of your cleaning mixture, rather than completely drenching the mirror. Do not use acid, alkali or abrasive cleaners, including commercial mirror cleaners that contain ammonia or vinegar on the mirror surface. Care should be taken to avoid contacting mirror edges with any liquid.

Vinyl Backed Mirrors Care must be taken when cleaning glass and mirror, we recommend clean, warm water used with a “Micro Fiber Cloth” Wring out all water from your cloth before wiping glass and mirror. Toilets Use warm soapy water and a soft damp cloth to clean the surface of the product. Wipe dry with a clean cloth. To facilitate cleaning of the product, the toilet seat and cover may be removed before cleaning. Never use any solvents, scourers, abrasives, alkaline cleaners, bleach, acids, strong detergents, aggressive chemical cleaners or solvent-type cleaning solutions on the toilet. Do not add chemicals or additives to the cistern. WARNING: DO NOT use cistern cleaners containing chlorine (calcium hypochlorite). These can seriously damage fittings in the cistern tank. Such cleaners can damage the fittings and potentially cause leaks. DO NOT forcefully open or close the toilet seat and cover. This may cause injury or damage to the product. Avoid the sudden introduction of hot water to a cold toilet. This may damage the toilet. Never stand on the toilet rim, seat or cover. Standing on the toilet, seat or cover may result in serious product damage and personal injury. DO NOT drop any hard objects on the toilet, seat or cover. Damage may result in cracks and leaks. If the toilet or seat is damaged and cracked discontinue use immediately and replace the unit. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or property damage. Before replacing the toilet seat measure the distance between the fixing holes on the toilet to ensure a suitable replacement can be identified before purchase. It is recommended to check the toilet seat fittings to security and tightness at regular intervals.
