WITH LIZA DOUSSON Join long-time local yoga and meditation instructor, Liza Dousson, for one or more 20-minute “drop-in” introductions to meditation. Suitable for beginners and regular meditation practitioners. Meet Liza at the front entrance of High Hopes at noon, 12:45 PM, and 1:30 PM to unwind, renew, and reset. For more info about Liza Dousson, visit her Facebook or Instagram page offerings or B E S E E K N O W.C O M

M E D I TAT I O N O F F E R I N G S THE CLASSIC RESET

12:00 P M

Simple, breath-focused meditation sitting either in a chair or on the ground. You’ll be provided cues during our time together that help to keep mind tethered to breath — your “object of concentration”— supporting slowing down your respiration, the busy-ness of “monkey brain”, the jazz of your nervous system... a brief letting go of obligations to JUST BE.

M OV I N G M E D I TAT I O N R E N E WA L

12:45 PM Done standing, this meditation will connect body and mind with a simple movement flow that offers protection to your immune system for lung health while strengthening your circulation system for heart health. Just one of thousands of Qi Gong flows from ancient China’s Taoist medicinal practices, you’ll learn and repeat this short set of movements to stimulate Life Force, while bringing more balance and well-being to mind and body.

LOV I N G K I N D N E S S M E D I TAT I O N (L K M) R E N E WA L

1:30 PM Done sitting, you’ll quiet your mind with this meditation method using a few silent mantras (phrases) that offer kindness to you first and foremost. Then we exponentialize harmony and good will by sharing our silent meditation phrases with the many other sentient beings living on our planet and beyond! Some meditation researchers say LKM is the next wave of meditation offerings because of the quick, yet profound, healing effects it has for us as individual practitioners, but also for the world in our global inter-connectedness.

OUR HERD At the heart of the High Hopes therapeutic program is our herd of carefully selected horses. There is a very special bond between our horses, our dedicated staff, our volunteers, and our participants. It is that partnership of trust, in an environment of unconditional acceptance, that enables High Hopes to make a difference to the lives of individuals who face a multitude of challenges every day.

VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are the lifeblood of our programs. Every day, volunteers help provide programs that deliver very real outcomes to our participants. Every day, volunteers are helping our instructors foster opportunities for building skills, strength, trust, and most of all, smiles. Most of our volunteers have no experience with horses or therapeutic activities when they come to High Hopes. We provide training, support, and enrichment opportunities.

#smiles
