THE complaints about the never ending foul smelling raw sewerage in Extension 2 and 6, Thaba Chweu Municipality, is again falling on deaf ears. Over the years there have been several attempts from private companies, government and the local municipality to fix the problem once and for all. But during the past two weeks, the constant health hazard that the residents closest to the sewerage have to endure has again risen to new heights. Everyone in town knows the sewerage spill, just on the left hand side after the bridge towards Mashishing. Residents have again contacted the newspaper to see if there is any resolution for them. According to the Thaba Chweu Municipality the sewage system has a number of problems, including a sewage pump that needs repair,

leaking, blocked, damaged pipelines and valves and blocked manholes. The main cement pond in the sewage works often overflows, which results in raw sewage leaking into the nearby river. A few years ago a local mine and private contractors repaired the reticulation system and the sewage works and hired specialised machinery from Johannesburg to clear the blocked manholes. The problems at this specific sewerage point is that as development increases the outfall sewerage also increases. The expected high rate of residential development earmarked for Lydenburg in the near future has resulted in the urgent upgrading of all water and sanitation infrastructure, in order to accommodate any future development. Thaba Chweu has reiterated over the years that they have budget and capacity issues that prevent them from replacing the old infrastructure.

krisis is.

Dit bring my by Thaba Chweu Munisipaliteit. Sekere waterlyne lek of bars egter gedurig.

Ek weet ’n elektrisiën sal vir my sê daar moet vir veiligheid stroombrekers wees. Natuurlik. Tegnies is daar ’n rede. Daardie redes of swak plekke is bekend.

CAPRO – as it is known is a shortened name for Central Advertising & Public Relations Office, for the Provincial Press of South Africa. This key role player in print media was born in 1950, and thus celebrates 68 years of existence. For the first time in history the small and mostly rural newspapers had a body which could promote them at advertising agencies, government institutions and big national companies. As Mr. Rishaad Mahomed (Capro Chairperson of the Board), once said “As far as the future is concerned, Capro is very optimistic… in years to come Capro needs to stay a relevant player in the industry. This will depend largely on the dynamics of the various members and how well they cope with changes. In this instance, Capro is extremely lucky in that it represents publishers who are also independent thinkers…the same style of independent thinking and the quest for excellence reflects in Capro...for over 60 years the company had to continuously adapt and re-invent itself to stay relevant in the industry. The company succeeded in doing this because it is in touch with the market”. Capro takes pride in the remarkable progress made through linking up advertisers with their target audience and adding value to community press. With over 68 years of our expertise we have pioneered to ensure that: Our newspapers have sound editorial environment and layouts are compatible The appointment of the new General Manager – Mr. Arashaad Saint, in March 2018, with his inherent capacity for sales along with a high level of professionalism, has seen Capro reshaping its relevance in terms of corporate identity and strengthened relationship with its clients. “I am delighted to have been granted this fantastic opportunity and I am very excited to face what is ahead in the future. I am privileged and honoured to be working with a team who has stood the test of time. I cannot believe that some employees have been in the organization for 30 years, this certainly is a remarkable achievement”. Together we will take Capro to greater heights.

WITH a firm belief that there’s no substitute for cubic inches or supercharging, New Jersey tuner Yenko has developed its own 6,8-litre V8 engine for the recently revealed Chevrolet Camaro SS. Based on the car’s stock 6,2-litre V8, this custom-built engine can be specified with either Stage 1 or 2 modifications, both of which imbue the already formidable muscle car with some serious firepower. Stage 1 sees the addition of a high-output supercharger, forged aluminium pistons and upgrades to the fuel injection system bump the car’s power output up to 623 kW (that’s 283 kW more than the Camaro SS it is based on). To cope with this additional grunt, Yenko offers a heavy-duty transmission on the options list. But if this isn’t quite enough power for you, then an even wilder upgrade is available. Cue the Stage 2 modification. Here the supercharger’s displacement grows by 20%, contributing to 25% more boost than the Stage 1 modification. The result is a whopping 745 kW channelled to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual ‘box. A custom-built

THE refreshed Kia Grand Sedona has arrived in South Africa, with the local arm of the Korean brand also taking the opportunity to revise the line-up. Interestingly, the SX trim level has been discontinued, while a new “feature-rich” EX+ grade has been added to the range. The 3,3-litre V6 petrol engine is no longer offered. The updated Grand Sedona features a revised front bumper design (complete with the latest version of the brand’s trademark grille), restyled headlamps and a new LED daytime running light signature on high-spec models. Round back, you’ll find new rear bumpers and revised taillamps. Inside, the Grand Sedona gains what Kia describes as “subtle upgrades” to its interior, including a redesigned facia and an updated instrument cluster. A new seven-inch touchscreen is also included. The base EX trim level features manual air-conditioning, automatic headlamps, electrically adjustable (and heated) side mirrors, rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloys and rear-sited USB ports. EX models come as standard with a seven-seat configuration, but an 11-seat option is available “on special order”, with a four-month lead time. Meanwhile, the new EX+ model (available only in eight-seat configuration) gains automatic dual-zone air-conditioning, auto-folding

stainless steel exhaust system is also included in this manual transmissiononly upgrade. Both of these models feature carbon fibre bonnets, an array of Yenko badges and decals, and ride on 20-inch torque-thrust-styled wheels wrapped in Michelin PS4S performance rubber ( 295/30 up-front and 305/30 at the rear). Inside, the front occupants are held in place by heavily bolstered Recaro seats. The Stage 1 and Stage 2 Yenko Camaro will be limited to just 25 units apiece and will only be available in the USA and Canada. Interestingly enough, owing to California’s strict emission regulations, it’s illegal to drive the Yenko Camaro on the road but trailering it to a racetrack and unleashing all those horses is absolutely fine. side mirrors (with integrated side indicators), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, front and rear parking sensors, front foglamps, glove-box cooling, leather upholstery and a wireless smartphone charger. The touchscreen is upgraded to an eight-inch colour arrangement (with satellite navigation). The flagship SXL is offered exclusively in seven-seat form, and adds keyless entry (with push-button start), blind spot detection, a two-part sunroof, LED headlamps, LED foglamps, LED taillamps, a smart powered tailgate, dual electric sliding doors, electric adjustable for the front seats and rear seat-heating. Power still comes from Kia’s familiar 2,2-litre turbodiesel engine, which in this instance offers 147 kW and 440 N.m. Like the latest Sorento, this engine is paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission (replacing the previous six-speed item). An unlimited kilometre/five-year warranty as well as a five-year/100 000 km service plan are included as standard. Ryan Bubear - Carmag.co.za

Ford Mustang Bullitt INTRODUCING the long-awaited facelifted version of the current Mustang to the South African market early next year will be this, the 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt. Inspired by the 1968 movie – which contains one of the greatest chase scenes of all times with Steve McQueen behind the wheel of a Mustang – the Bullitt features a Dark Highland Green paint job with chrome accents, a set of Recaro Ebony Black leather-trimmed seats and unique green accent stitching. Included in this is, of course, a thumping V8. The 5,0-litre, naturally aspirated unit has been stroked to produce 353 kW and 570 Nm of torque. Ford South Africa will import the Bullitt in limited numbers. Pricing and spec levels will be confirmed closer to the time. CAR’s technical editor Nicol Louw is currently on the international launch. Ford GT production continues WHEN the Ford GT was revealed early in 2015, the Blue Oval brand announced it would build just 1 000 units. But now, claiming “overwhelming” demand, the American manufacturer has decided to up the supercar’s total production number to 1 350 units. “The response to our Ford GT has been unprecedented, with demand outstripping supply more than six-to-one,” said Hermann Salenbauch, director,

Ford Performance. “By extending the Ford GT production run for a limited period, we’re able to maintain the exclusivity of the ultradesirable supercar while offering the ownership experience to a greater number of customers.” The high demand persists despite the 482 kW / 746 Nm 3,5-litre twin-turbo V6 supercar (which we drove in the United States back in May 2017) costing approximately $450 000 (R6,5 million). Ford says it will re-open the “final owner application process” for select global markets on 8 November 2018, with prospective owners having the chance to submit their applications for a period of 30 days. Previous unsuccessful applicants, the brand says, need to confirm or modify their original application to be considered in this latest window. The company also recently announced a new Ford GT Heritage Edition model that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 with a limited-edition Gulf Oil tribute racing livery, including a Heritage Blue and Heritage Orange paint scheme. An Entrepreneurs true success story

It was on a weekend when we played the lotto & casino, and we were so surprised to see the results, we had won! Finally we discovered the truth that mama was really a godsend to us because she brought ever lasting mama Jane’s happiness to our lives.

After working for 15 years, I expected to live a better life on retirement & do business, but that only happened for a few years. My business was successful at the beginning, but suddenly started collapsing & I lost all my money, my wife disrespected me & my marriage started collapsing, I visited many prophets for help to fix both my marriage & business but nothing changed till I met mama Jane. I was touched by the testimonials from many people (on radio & local paper) she had helped before.

Today we are running a very successful business in town and I can’t stop thanking mama for the free super magic ring and money wallet that changed our lives. Even though others failed to fix your problems, this may be your last chance to break through no matter what problem you’re facing in life.

6 . Ve r m y i n f o r m e l e o f m o n d e l i n g e ooreenkomste Maak seker dat elke ooreenkoms tussen jou en die bouer gedokumenteer en deur albei partye onderteken word. 7.

HE Modikwa marathon team participated in this past weekend's Soweto Marathon, the peoples race. Of the 17 runners that entered, 11 managed to complete the marathon, half marathon and 10km race. The athletes who took part said the race was like always, well organised and the route took them through the heart of Soweto, for instance late Pres. Nelson Mandela's house. They said the race was challenging but they all manage to finish with respectable times. Violet Mabitla ran her very first Soweto and competed in the 42.2km marathon, she qualified for next year's Comrades marathon, the team members are very proud of this female runner doing so well. Rudolph Mokgomola ran the 21.1 km half marathon, this was his first Soweto, he was very happy and thankful to have completed the race – he said the last uphill to the FNB Soccer city stadium was almost his downfall. Rudolph Well done to all the successful runners, the team is looking forward to the Bela-Bela race Mokgomola took later in the month, this is also a qualifier race, part in his very first for the runners that want to better their Soweto marathon, he ran the 21.1km seeding times for Comrades half marathon.
