Application Deadlines & Plans
Early Decision (Priority 1)
For applicants who rank HPU as their first choice and commit to enrolling at HPU. Early Decision is a binding agreement stating that, if admitted, you will withdraw applications from all other institutions, as well as commit to and enroll at HPU.
Deadline: November 1
Notification Date: November 21
Early Action
For applicants who rank HPU as one of their top college choices.
Early Action is non-binding. Students who apply under the Early Action plan will be given second priority consideration in the application and housing process.
Deadline: November 15
Notification Date: December 15
Regular Decision
Allows applicants who did not apply Early Decision or Early Action to submit their applications by March 1. Applications under the Regular Decision plan will be reviewed starting February 1.
Priority Deadline: February 1
Notification: Rolling
Final Deadline: March 1
Official Transcripts
All transcripts are required to be submitted with certified English translations and curriculum evaluations.

English Proficiency
International students are required to submit one of the following accepted English proficiency exams. Below are the accepted tests and the minimum test score requirements:
• TOEFL iBT range = 80
The school code for TOEFL is 5293.
• IELTS range = 6.5
• Duolingo = 105
• MELAB = 77
• iTEP = 3.8
• SAT English = 500
• ACT English = 20
These are the minimum scores, but do not guarantee acceptance. Students may be conditionally accepted based on their demonstrated English proficiency. If you are conditionally accepted for language proficiency, you will be required to complete the highest proficiency levels at https://interlink.edu
Test Scores
High Point University does not require these scores, but they could meet your English Proficiency requirements or help you qualify for academic scholarships. If you have completed the SAT or ACT, you are encouraged to submit the official scores with your application with the links below:

F-1 Student Visa Requirements
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will issue the required documentation for accepted students after completing the following steps:
1. Submit HPU Enrollment Deposit ($500)
2. Submit copy of passport
3. Submit Certificate of Financial Support and funding documents
4. If current F-1 student, submit I-20 Visa Transfer Clearance Form
