Ayr Wellness Cannabis Dispensary Completed

Watertown, MA – Connolly Brothers, Inc. announced that it has completed the construction of a 4,500sf cannabis dispensary facility for Ayr Wellness located at 48 North Beacon Street in Watertown. Connolly collaborated with Scott/Griffin Architects on the project.

Connolly Brothers provided construction management services for the dispensary, which involved a full renovation to an existing 1920s-era building that was brought up to code, as well as significant site work to address unsuitable soil and an old foundation. The project included tearing down an adjacent building to allow room for parking atop a new porous pavement driveway to keep water on site.

The exterior prominently features filmed-glass windows. The dispensary building contains a commercial retail space on the first floor and a mezzanine for office and storage space. The firstfloor dispensary is split between medical and retail functions, and interior design touches include vaulted beam ceilings, terrazzo floors, high-finish cabinetry and display cases, and contemporary lighting. accordance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission mandates.

Connolly’s project team included Middlesex Glass, windows; Optiline Enterprises, drywall; and InLine Mechanical, HVAC.
