Procopio Promotes Vitale
Middleton, MA – The Procopio Companies announced the promotion of Bryan Vitale from vice president of development to senior vice president, strategy & investments.

Bedford, NH – After nearly 30 years at TFMoran, Inc., Jeffrey M. Kevan, principal and civil engineering department manager, has announced his intent to retire from the company at the end of 2022.
Nick Golon, PE in the Bedford office, will be assuming Kevan’s role of civil engineering department manager. Golon has over 21 years of experience in civil engineering, with the last 16 years at TFMoran. His engineering background includes a diverse cross-section of projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, and energy markets, ranging up to several hundred million dollars in value.
The company also announced that Margaret Levell, EIT has joined the firm as a civil project engineer in the Bedford office. Levell joins TFMoran after graduating with her Bachelor of Science in agricultural engineering and environmental and natural resources from Purdue University.
Additionally, Andrew Griffin, PE recently earned his Professional Engineer license for the State of New Hampshire. Griffin serves as a structural project engineer in the Portsmouth office and joined TFMoran in 2018. His structural design experience includes steel and timber commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, and concrete foundations.

Fontaine Bros. Hires Three
Springfield, MA – Fontaine Bros. Inc. announced it recently hired Michael Tiberii as senior project supervisor, Tom Ingle as project supervisor/manager and Nicole LaCroix as project manager.
Tiberii joins Fontaine from AECOM Tishman where he was vice president of MEP services. With over 35 years of experience, he has worked on projects in many sectors including life science, hospitality and residential. He completed the Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Architectural Design and Drafting Program and earned a certificate from the University of Texas’ Project Management Program.
Before joining Fontaine, Ingle was a general contractor who managed his own
Tiberii construction and remodeling company. He is a licensed construction supervisor and earned a degree in business management from Providence College.
LaCroix comes to Fontaine from Bowdoin Construction. She earned a Masters of Construction Management degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and a B.S. in interior design. Her diverse experience includes a wide range of projects in the academic and life science sectors.

Grandstaff-Rice Joins Perkins & Will
Boston – The incoming president of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has joined Perkins&Will. Emily Grandstaff-Rice, FAIA, will use her national platform to advance equity, decarbonization, research, and evidence-based design across the industry. She is based in Perkins&Will’s Boston studio.
Grandstaff-Rice’s most recent projects focus on K-12 and higher education learning environments, with her most
notable projects including Hildreth Elementary School in Harvard, Mass.; UMass Lowell Health and Social Sciences in Lowell, Mass.; and Boston Children’s Museum in Boston. In addition to her interest in educational typologies, broader themes around justice, equity, Grandstaff-Rice diversity, and inclusion (J.E.D.I.) inform Grandstaff-Rice’s design philosophy. She is a champion of J.E.D.I. in the design profession and in the communities architects serve.
Marr Appoints New Company Officers
Boston – The Marr Companies chairman and CEO, Dan Marr, recently announced that Jeffrey Marr Jr. has been appointed president of Marr Scaffolding Company, and Christopher Foley has been named vice president of Isaac Blair & Co. Inc.
A member of the sixth generation of the Marr family, Jeffrey Marr Jr. began his career at Marr in 2008 and has recently served as vice president, business development. In his new position, he will continue to direct the business development effort as he assumes leadership for the management and sales teams across Marr Scaffolding Company which includes the scaffolding, shoring, aerial lifts, swing stages, mast climber and bleacher divisions. He succeeds Daniel F. Marr III who has held the position since 1994.
Foley joined the Isaac Blair team as project manager in 2017 and was promoted to general manager in 2019. Over the past five years, he has provided field management for hundreds of specialty shoring projects. He maintains a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s license.

SLAM Announces Promotions
Glastonbury, CT – The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM) announced the promotion of Rick Herzer, AIA, LEED AP to managing principal of design and director of sustainability, and Robert Zygmunt, PE to principal and shareholder.
Herzer joins the Firm Core Team after 35 years with SLAM. He oversees the coordination of all design issues between the client and design team. His hallmark is inventive design that elevates the building program, space and the human experience through creative solutions. His passion for computer technology has led the firm to improvements in project delivery, elevating the conversations around building technology and sustainability.
Zygmunt joined SLAM in 2007 and serves as the lead structural engineer for many of SLAM’s complex university projects. He has contributed to many award recognitions, including Palladio, AIA and ENR. He is a registered engineer in the state of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Georgia. He is a committee member on the National Council of Structural Engineering Association (NCSEA) and chairperson for the Structural Engineers Association Connecticut chapter (SEAConn) Structural Licensure Committee.
