Welcome to Highwire Daze Issue #145 - our 32nd anniversary issue! 32 is such an odd number to be commemorating, but here we are at the end of 2022! We made it through the pandemic and are rocking once more! And what amazing shows we’ve seen arrive in Southern California as of late! This issue has live reviews of iconic bands such as Iron Maiden, the Scorpions, Michael Schenker Group, and My Chemical Romance. And on the interview front, we have Black Veil Brides, WASP, In Flames, and Glen Phillips of Toad The Wet Sprocket in this final issue of 2022. Toad The Wet Sprocket was one of Highwire Daze co-founder Jonathan Wright’s all time favorite bands, and I dedicate the interview to him. Can’t believe we started Highwire Daze within the walls of a tiny little apartment in Hollywood in October of 1990! It seems like yesterday.
