Highwire Daze recently interviewed vocalist Zoë Infante after a Jack Lue photo shoot to discover a whole lot more about the wonderful world of Bittersweethearts. Read on... Hi I’m Zoë Infante and I am the lead singer of the new Socal band called Bittersweethearts. We are a brand new band and have only been together for about 6 months!
What do you think about our local Los Angeles music scene?
I think the Los Angeles music scene is great! There is so much variety of music and things going on so there’s really a scene for everyone.
Introduce yourself, tell me what you do in Bittersweethearts, and how long the band has been together. Is there any overall story or concept behind your new single Polly Plastic?
Our new single “Polly Plastic” that comes out Novem-
ber 17th is about trying to make friends/genuine connections in LA. “Polly Plastic” shows the story of a girl who is fake and flaky, but is just trying to keep up with society’s standards and fit in.
Tell me about your debut single Hate To Love and the inspiration behind that song.
Our debut single “Hate to Love” got me through a challenging time in my life. I was going through a divorce when I wrote this song and it really helped me process everything and put how I was feeling into words.
What could one expect from a live Bittersweethearts show?
If you come to a Bittersweethearts show you can definitely expect a great show and some stupid jokes.
Describe the first performance at The NAMM Show in Anaheim and what that was like.
Earlier this year we had our first show at NAMM and that was an absolutely amazing place to have our first show. It was awesome. our own projects.
What was it like doing a photo session with legendary photographer Jack Lue?
Jack Lue is an amazing photographer and a great guy! Whenever I shoot with Jack I know I’m going to get some of my favorite photos ever!
How did you and Declan O’Raidy meet and what is his musical background?
I met Declan O’Raidy through my manager when he held auditions to help me create my dream band. He’s been in music from a very young age just like me and we work really well together.
What’s up next for Bittersweethearts?
We are going on our first tour in Europe this January and we couldn’t be more excited. From new music to new experiences and places we are all ready to see what the future holds.
What previous bands or projects were you in prior to Bittersweethearts?
Prior to Bittersweethearts I was in a band with my identical twin sister called Strawberry Army. I had this band for 5 years throughout high school but when the pandemic hit my twin and I decided to venture out into

Words of wisdom I have is beautiful things come out of the darkest times and to keep on going and you’ll get through to exactly where u need to be.
