Bubble Tea Design

Role and Responsibilities

As a designer at Ted Design, I developed concepts, sourced materials, optimized space planning, and managed permit submissions, ensuring a cohesive vision and functional, inviting space for the bubble tea shop.

Prime Location & Efficient Layout

The success of a bubble tea shop at Eglinton depends on factors such as location, marketing, and competition. On average, bubble tea shops serves 100 to 230 customers daily. Positioned in a food court near the escalator, this shop bene ts from high foot tra c as people pass by before entering the food court.

The design maximizes space e ciency by dividing the layout into three functional sections: a customer ordering area, a countertop for tea preparation, and a back kitchen. This strategic space planning ensures a smooth work ow and enhances customer experience.

Green Tones & Material Harmony

The design emphasizes a harmonious blend of various shades of green and diverse materials, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere.

The storefront is highlighted by a CNC wood panel featuring a delicate tea leaf pattern, re ecting the theme of the bubble tea shop. Adjacent to the waiting area, the back feature wall provides a striking focal point, adding depth and visual interest to the space.

Additionally, the countertop is crafted with elegant porcelain tiles, combining style and practicality to elevate the overall design while ensuring ease of maintenance and durability.

Material & Design Elements

The seamless integration of green tones with natural wood elements throughout the space creates a striking balance between modern aesthetics and traditional charm. This combination enhances the overall ambiance, evoking a sense of tranquility while o ering a visually appealing environment that re ects both contemporary design and cultural heritage in perfect harmony.

Markham

Prime Location & Efficient Layout

This site plan highlights the prime location of the space, situated next to a plaza in a high-tra c area, ensuring excellent visibility and accessibility. The layout e ciently combines a hair massage space and a co ee shop within a single unit, o ering a seamless ow between both areas.

Space Optimization

The reception area, located at the entrance, is designed to provide a welcoming rst impression. It features a modern, sleek reception desk and a product shelf displaying wellness items. The layout ensures smooth tra c ow, allowing for easy check-ins while maintaining an open, inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for the spa experience.

This unit, with its angular design, presented a challenging layout. However, we successfully maximized the space by incorporating seven rooms, including two double rooms, allowing nine customers to enjoy their massage simultaneously.

A door in the middle connects the spa with the co ee shop, allowing customers’ friends and family to wait while they enjoy their massage. The co ee shop, located on the right side, includes a back kitchen and seating for up to 50 people, enhancing the overall experience for all visitors.

Show Room

The showroom design e ciently utilizes the available space to create a product display while dividing the layout into two distinct sections: kitchen and laundry.

By thoughtfully integrating these elements, the space is designed to evoke the feeling of a real, rather than just a showroom. The layout ensures a warm and inviting atmosphere, making visitors feel comfortable and at home.

Additionally, we strategically placed appliances throughout the space to showcase functionality, maximizing the use of every area while maintaining a seamless and engaging experience for the viewer
