GUIDED MOUNTAIN HIKES OF SEOUL CITIES BUKHAN-SAN NATIONAL PARK, AND MORE….

DISCOVERING KOREAN IDENTITY THROUGH MOUNTAIN CULTURE

Guided Mountain Hikes in Seoul Cities Bukhan-san National Park Length: 5 to 7 hours Area: Seoul City Theme: Culture Hiking Mountain Trail Subject: Joseon Dynasty 1392-1910 Costs: Price includes one full meal. Group Costs: 1 person 350USD, 2pax 400USD, 3pax 450USD, 4pax 500USD Within South Korea's capital exists one of Korea's more popular National Parks. Bukhan-san National Park struts out of the sky -scraper landscape of downtown Seoul like a Guardian God. Its mountain-scape is a typical example of Korean mountain. It has large pointy craggy peaks of white rock that jut out of its verdant forests. Like all Korean mountains Bukhan-san has a legend that, once the mountain spirit of Baekdu-san (2744m) in North Korea visited Bukhan-san, and was so impressed by its landscape that he still returns to the area for more views. These days the views from Bukhan-san involve long vistas out over the city of Seoul, offering the hiker a Geomantic moment of nature and city. Bukhan-san is rich in Korean culture where the remains of ancient walls built in 1392 of previous kingdoms still exist. The mountainous terrain is naturally filled with innumerable Buddhist temples, Confucian and Shamanic shrines. It was, and still is the guardian mountain of Korea's 600 year old capital.
