o Bushfires can originate from both human activity and natural causes with lightning from any natural source. Fires lit deliberately can be the result of sudden adverse weather conditions which results in their uncontrollable spread. o Unfortunately deliberate lit fires are easier to form a bigger fire and have a higher risk of impacting animals and humans.

WHAT CAUSE’S BUSHFIRES?


o Bushfires are deadly part of Australia’s environment. Our natural ecosystems have evolved with fires and there landscape. Many of Australia’s native plants have had to regenerate many times. Bushfires in Australia are usually during the hotter months of the year, due to Australia's mostly hot climate. Each year fires impact native areas. They can cause bad damage and loss of human life. Though certain native flora and fauna in Australia have evolved to rely on bushfires as of reproduction. For thousands of years, Indigenous Australians have used fire to foster grasslands for hunting and to clear tracks through thick vegetation.
