Mary was an Irish widow who had seven children


In her sixties began campaigning for women's rights.


In 1894, the South Australian parliament passed an Act giving women the vote. The Woman Now Have the vote Bravo, Brava


She formed a women's trades union and got the head workers to pay the women workers more.

her last years were spent in poverty.
