Bushfires by Cat and Charlotte

From 1970-2013 By Cat and Charlotte

What causes these bushfires? •

Lightning

Oil spills ( dry fuel burns quickly and wet fuel may not even burn at all)

Purposely lit fires ( can spread along way if they land in eucalyptus because eucalyptuses are full of oil and spread extremely fast).

if the weather gets too hot

Electrical cables fall

Vehicle fires

Wind speed ( if there is a flame the wind will blow it over faster if the wind is strong)

This Pie Graph shows the least amount of hectares burnt over the years. As you can see in 2000 ,more hectares of area were burnt in NSW. In 1980 you can see only 4% was burnt over the other bushfires in NSW.

This is a obvious way of showing how the fires have increased and decreased over the years. This will help you see when the fires occurred the most and when they happened.
