Have you ever got out of bed on the wrong side? Have you ever waken up with pain in the back or neck, had a sleepless night or dreamed about a nap after a long, hard
day at work? At Hilding Anders Polska we strongly believe all these problems is the question of the quality of
your dream, which has a great influence on the comfort
of living. That's why, for over 75 years globally and over 15 years in Poland, we have been struggling to provide
you not only with the highest-quality product – our comfortable and well-designed mattresses – but above all to ensure a healthy sleep.
We work in a place which roots back to the 1940s. It's
then when Hilding Anderson started the manufacturing of
beds in a small Swedish town of Bjärnum. Today we produce and export mattresses and beds to the whole Europe and a part of Asia. We hire over 8000 employees and
sell our products in thousands of stores all over the world.
We want to maintain and continue the good traditions, but also to continuously improve: to test new materials, develop our technologies, study the users' needs.
It turns out that 71.5% of Poles feels sleepy during the
day, 49.3% have problems with falling asleep, and yet we still think the sleeplessness is not our problem. 48.8% of
the respondents sleep on couches or convertible sofas, even though 61.4% admit that a comfortable bed is a cru2

cial factor for the sleep quality. The research results and
their interpretations made by experts – Dawid Wiener (psychologist and cognitivist) and Michał Nowak (physiotherapist) – helped us create the Book of Healthy Sleep, the
first Polish academic publication which in an accessible way presents the most important information on how to
care for your sleep. We want to provide our customers not only with the highest-quality products, but also with the
knowledge necessary to sleep better and more comfortably, and that's why the Book of Healthy Sleep is available for free download on our website.

The research results formed a benchmark in creating
a new collection of Hilding mattresses and beds. We ensu-
red that the different mattresses and beds would address the needs of various customers, no matter their taste, physique or age. We created a separate category of mattresses: Hilding Family, which is distinguished by affordable prices to ensure comfortable sleep to the highest possible
number of people. Being familiar with the current trends, we also ensured that the mattresses would be available in several different versions of covers. For the new collection,
we used breathing mattresses, elastic raw materials with
different hardness grade, and we also took into account
that the mattresses could be turned a lot easier thanks to the fabric handles located on their sides. We always care

How to choose a perfect mattress – a five-step approach
Have you ever thought how much time you spend on your mattress? If you sleep for around seven hours every day, then you spend on it 49 hours a week, so more than two days! Therefore you should ensure your mattress is comfortable and adapted to your needs. The First Polish Sleep Quality Research suggests we are aware of the fact that the comfortable mattress and proper bed are one of the most important factors affecting the quality of sleep (this is claimed by 61% respondents when asked what factors the largest effect on the sleep quality). Then how to choose a model perfect for you? Remember there is no better way to choose a mattress than testing it personally. Only then may you be confident that the particular model meets all your expectations. When testing each new mattress, follow the 5-step method: 6

Hilding mattresses have 7 different harness zones in line with the layout recommended by the Ergonomics Institute in Munich (EIM). Each zone has a different hardness, providing better fit to the shape of our body, properly supporting the head, shoulders, waist, hips and legs.
1. Feel like in your own bedroom When testing the mattress, try to calm dawn and relax. Take off your coat, loosen the tie and make yourself comfortable on the mattress – relax and do not get up after just a few seconds. 2. Try different positions Lie down in the same position you in which you normally lie down at home. Turn on your back, belly and sides. Check what you feel and if it is easy to turn from one side to the other. 3. Feel the curvature of your spine If the tested mattress does not seem good, turn to the back again and check how it adapts to the natural curvature of your back. Perform the so-called flat hand test. Lying on your back, put a flat hand between the back and the
mattress. If you can do it easily and can feel a relatively large free space between your hand, spine and the mattress, it means the mattress is probably too hard. On the other hand, if it is completely impossible to put your hand between the mattress and your back, the mattress is probably too soft. 4. Lie on your side Lie on your side and feel how the mattress interacts with your body. If it seems that in a second you will roll to your back again, it means the mattress is too hard. It you sink in the mattress too much, and it is difficult to turn to your side, the mattress is too soft. 5. Foams are one of the most rapidly and intensively
developing raw materials on the market: high-resilience, thermoelastic, latex – each category is distinguished by
different properties and addresses different needs. The
common advantage of all these categories is the degree of elasticity and adaptation to individual body shape. Their
light weight makes it easy to transport the mattresses and turn them upside down. When creating the foam mattresses, we use modern solutions being in line with current
trends. The foam mattresses may be built of one or more types of foam with slightly different properties. The density

pending on the type of springs. The most popular are the
pocket-spring mattresses, where each spring is put into a fabric pocket. Heigh flexibility of the spring mattresses is ensured by the fact that every spring individually reacts to
the body weight. Thus, the more springs, the higher point flexibility and better quality of sleep.
Apart from the â&#x20AC;&#x153;conventional springâ&#x20AC;? called Pocket,
there are also advanced spring systems, Multipocket, as well as our novelty â&#x20AC;&#x201C; InterActive springs, in which the density of single springs per m2 is even several times hi-

But if you look carefully, you will notice that the Multipocket spring has a smaller diameter. There are simply more springs on each square meter of the mattress. Pasodoble Pocket springs Pasodoble is a mattress which ensures solid support and slightly harder base. At the same time, it allows your body to sink into its insert in points of highest pressure. If you look for a mattress that will provide a firm and solid support and guarantee slightly harder base, then Pasodoble is made specially for you. It is a perfect choice for persons with higher weight or who prefer sleeping on a harder base. On the pocket springs, on one side we installed a coconut fibre mat, which increased the hardness with maintaining the optimum elasticity and flexibility. The other side includes a NOVELTY: a natural fibre of Sisal agave, which also increases the hardness. Both layers are light and airy, which allows the whole insert to breathe. Directly under the cover, on both sides we placed our FlexiFoam which provides additional flexibility and optimum softness.
