The Spanish believe that the Day of the Dead is the opportunity to remember y honor sus deceased loved ones.

When Day of the Dead altars are prepared, familias make food y bring things that the deceased person enjoyed during su vida. These things are then laid out on a “Day of the Dead” altar en una casa de familia. The food is then eaten and more celebrating begins.  Personas will go to the graves of sus loved ones and decorate them with brightly colored flores y sugar skulls. 
