FAIR OAKS RANCH City Council - Place 1
Long time City of Fair Oaks Ranch resident David M. Deleranko running for Fair Oaks Ranch City Council
Long time City of Fair Oaks Ranch resident David M. Deleranko, known simply as ‘Dave’ to his friends and neighbors, has officially filed to run for the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council Place 1. Thirty plus years ago, Dave helped to incorporate the city and has worked tirelessly since that time to enhance the City of Fair Oaks Ranch’s reputation as one of the best places to live in the Texas Hill Country.
Dave is an honorably discharged veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. After leaving active duty, he continued to serve our country throughout his Federal Civil Service career overseeing major National Defense contracts for both the United States Air Force and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He recently retired with more than 40 years of Federal Service.
Dave served as the city’s very first Director of Building Codes in the early 1990’s and later helped to create the city’s Building Code Department. In 2016 the Fair Oaks Ranch City Council appointed Dave to the Home Rule Charter Commission where he helped write the city’s Home Rule Charter which was overwhelmingly approved by 92% of the citizens in the May 2017 election.
Dave is making his electoral debut for the City Council at this time because he firmly believes the City of Fair Oaks Ranch is at a critical crossroad where unchecked development threatens our sense of the community that originally brought all of us here. He is also concerned about the rapid growth of city bureaucracy and uncontrolled tax and spend policies:
