Custom made Trophy Bases, Renewals, Refurbishment and Extensions

Do you have a trophy that you have used for competitions for years and years, the base has had a hard time of it and you have run out of room for engraving?

Have you considered either renewing the base or just an extension? We are able to custom manufacture a base to replicate the original and add extensions that blend in as though they have always been there.

The Rugged Company is a small crafting workshop that custom makes Trophy bases for high end silversmiths in the London area. Based in Scotland (Not the warmest of places) with just a small workshop we make trophy bases that go all over the world, We use only solid wood and this can be different types to suit the requirements of the customer, but mainly we use Sapele for the larger Trophies and this is sprayed a high gloss black piano finish. There are a number of different finishes available.

The Process

The original base, followed by the start of the additional extension then of course the original base was tided up and the extension was turned to fit.

Finally, the base was sprayed with a gloss finish and the original engraving plates replaced with space on the base for additional engraving plates, extending the life of the Trophy for another 20 years.
