A VISION OF NATURE

Jamie de Vorms

GRASS, DEAD FISH AND THE KITCHEN SINK

Introduction

Have you ever looked at two things at once?

Of course you have. Just take the reflections in windows, or crossing your eyes, or putting on 3D glasses. Even when you’re daydreaming doing the dishes. We see more than one thing all the time.

In this book I have brought my love for nature and the minute together with my months of experience living with double vision (diplopia). My eyes could not bring together a single image which left everything moving and overlapping.

The natural world if full of patterns and textures and colours everywhere you look (in my case that’s the front garden, supermarket fish and water the kitchen sink). It has been a joy to bring them together. I hope you find this journey as interesting as I have.
