SA HIMAA Branch End of Year Event

The SA HIMAA Branch End of Year Event was held on Wednesday 16 December 2020 providing a chance for members to gather face to face at a central venue for the first time in 2020. The Caledonian Hotel in North Adelaide was able to meet social distancing requirements for the group of approximately 20 members. The opportunity to be able to welcome new faces, catch up on career movements and share experiences was invaluable. This included informally hearing about the differing approaches taken by organisations to meet the staffing challenges of lockdown. It was also pleasing to hear of new developments being progressed despite COVID including area health coding service amalgamations, CDI piloting and EMR rollouts along with updates from HIMAA Board member Catherine Garvey and Rachel Tretheway from SA Health.
