• GONGO – GONGO stands for Government Non-Government Organization. It is an NGO which is created by a government, but works independently for different types of social welfare projects for the benefit of the society.


• INGO – INGO stands for International Non-Government Organization. Oxfam based in the United Kingdom is a prime example of an INGO.


• RINGO – RINGO stands for Religious International Non-Government Organizations which works for the protection and the sentiments of people related with different religions and faiths.


• QUANGO – QUANGO stands for Quasi-Autonomous NonGovernment Organization. It may have some government members too. ISO is an example of a QUANGO type of NGO.
