hind ghuzlan portfolio ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING
DRAFT COPY 3 JULY 2022
ABOUT ME I’m Hind Ghuzlan. 4th-year architectural student at Al-Hussein Technical University. Through design courses, I found Hind as a human-driven designer، inside boundaries to dive into the depths of individuals living in a space with an envelope, whether in a tent or a palace. I make designs to dialogue with the place's memory. to create more inclusive ecosystems and enhance environment interaction with people, spaces that are more livable and resilient. And lately attracted by merging it with innovative construction technologies، to create solutions that serve the concept, whatever it is. Construction technologies pathway, high performance in Revit and photoshop, and good at Autocad and illustrator. Had good English speaking and writing skills. Professional Freelance portrait photographer and passionate about architectural photography. Driven by human-centric design, eager to selfimprovement and keep learning!

MIX USED TOWER - SIDES AIR VENTILATION CONCEPT
PROJECT BRIEF: MIX USED TOWER 4000 SQUARE METER ALABDALI BOULEVARD
THE CHALLENGE LIES ON THE HIGHER FLOORS, 8 APARTMENTS ARE REQUIRED ON EACH FLOOR. WHERE ABDALI LEGISLATION DICTATES A SPECIFIC EXTERIOR APPEARANCE FOR THE TOWERS. WHILE MAINTAINING THIS CLADDING, IT WAS THOUGHT TO DISMANTLE THE QUADRILATERAL UNIT TO ENABLE EACH APARTMENT TO DOUBLE THE AREA THAT THE SUNLIGHT ENTERS. TO IMPROVE NATURAL VENTILATION AND REDUCE ENCLOSED SPACES IN APARTMENTS. IT ALLOWS REFRACTIONS IN SUNLIGHT TO CIRCULATE AROUND THE HIGH RISE BUILDING AND PASS THROUGH ALL APARTMENTS RATHER THAN STRAIGHT ANGLES THAT DO NOT PROVIDE THIS FLEXIBILITY.

IN A BUSTLING AREA, IN THE MIDDLE OF A LIVELY CITY. THE HOTEL HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO CATER FOR BUSINESS TRIPS AND QUICK STAYS. IN A RESEARCH CONDUCTED, IT WAS FOUND THAT HOTELS NEED A RENOVATION EACH 710 YEARS, TO KEEP PACE WITH COMPETITION AND MAINTAIN EFFICIENT OPERATION. WHAT EACH TIME COSTS A QUARTER OF THE COST OF THE FIRST CONSTRUCTION. WITH TWO STUDENTS FROM THE CIVIL DEPARTMENT, SOLUTIONS HAVE BEEN PUT INTO UTILIZING MMC TO EASE RENOVATION. AS A BASIS OF THE DESIGN PROCESS. SO THAT IT CAN BE DISASSEMBLED INTO UNITS AND RENOVATED SEPARATELY. DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE SLAP PANELS AND ADEQUATE DISTRIBUTION OF FACILITIES.

CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM - DIFFERENCES
WHEN THE DESIGN OF A CONTEMPORARY ART MUSEUM WAS PROPOSED. THOUGHTS WERE ABOUT HOW PEOPLE DEAL WITH ART, HOW THEY ACCEPT IT, AND WHETHER THEY DISAGREE ABOUT IT. HOW CONTROVERSIAL IT IS TO DISPLAY PAINTINGS WORTH MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN A MUSEUM AND CELEBRATE THEIR CANONIZATION. IT IS IN THIS SENSE THAT DIFFERENCE HAS BEEN THOUGHT OF AS AN IDENTITY FOR HUMAN BEINGS. ACCORDING TO THE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY, THE MUSEUM PASSES THROUGH THREE PHASES, THE FIRST OF WHICH IS "EGO, OTHERNESS AND I" WHERE THE ENTRANCE MASS IS DARK, LOW, AND SOLID WITH STONE. AND THEN TO THE "FINDING THE ETHICS" MASS, ON ITS SIDE, A RAMP RISING TO THE THIRD MASS, "DIFFERENCES AND I'' WHERE DIFFERENCE DOES NOT LEAD TO DISAGREEMENT, AN OPEN AND TRANSPARENT SPACE THAT LOOKS FORWARD TO A MORE OPEN FUTURE. AS A LINEAR JOURNEY IN WHICH HUMAN INTERACTS WITH ALL HIS SENSES.
