If that is the case then you need to look at generally well known factors such as getting leaf and stick debris out of your house gutters, reducing the fuel load in the form of dead sticks and leaves on the ground, making sure you have a good water supply, and that the surrounding vegetation is trimmed back away from the house to create a fire break.
To me, eucalyptus trees are so scary in a bushfire because the volatile orals that they contain have a flashpoint of 49°C. That is not very hot when you are talking about the environment around a bushfire.
This means that if the ambient temperature gets above 49°C, and there is a source of ignition, they can literally explode. Conversely, after a savage bushfire that I saw go through Southern Reesville about 15 years ago, young Celerywood trees, Polyscius elegans, were seemingly untouched.
I would want some of them around my house in a fire.
