2024 3rd Annual T3 Brangus Pine Belt Alliance Fall Production Sale • November 23, 2024

PINE BELT

Welcome

My family and I personally want to thank everyone for joining us at our third annual T3 Brangus and Pinebelt Alliance sale. There is a lot of blood, sweat and tears that goes on between sales but all the hard work will pay off because sale day is finally upon us. We would have never gotten to this stage of the game without the love and support from family and friends that have helped guide us along the way. My wife, daughter, and son are the true warriors for allowing me to do what started out as a hobby and get to where we are today, hosting our third pinebelt alliance sale.

We have been striving day in and day out to provide our customers with a quality product that will go out and perform for them and make them the profits necessary and we believe that we have achieved that goal. The set of females and bulls that we are offering are as good of a set that we have brought to auction and we truly think you will be as impressed as us. The bull battery we believe is the deepest set of bull we have ever offered. From top to bottom we stand behind our product and hope that you buy with confidence.

As a current IBBA board member one thing I have learned is as a breed we need to support each other as a whole. Brangus, is growing like crazy and if a bull or female fits your program and will make it better, it shouldn’t matter who is selling it. What can you do in order to make a difference? Get active in the association by joining a committee and let your voice be heard. If we put all of our efforts together this breed can’t do anything but grow! It is an awesome time to be in the cattle business as cattle bringing an all time high. If you are looking to add pounds on the ground we believe we have what you are looking for.

Cuevas Family

Let me just close by saying, if the Pinebelt Alliance can help you in any way possible please don’t hesitate to ask. And as the saying goes EAT MORE BEEF!

Your Friends,

Trey, Holly, Harrison & Cohen Cuevas

A chance to own one of the Brangus breed’s most exciting proven donors. Her $32,000 daughter CB Ms Growth Fund 63K26 is owned by American Cattle Enterprise and already has donor progeny on the ground that is very exciting. 63F has over 30 other daughters and sons that will be show cased both upcoming Cavender and T3 sales. In the Cavender herd, 63F has generated $102,000 including a $20,000 Masterpiece heifer to B/K Beef and a $14,000 Masterpiece son to Bar X.

63F’s consistency of phenotype is setup with a balanced reporting of EPD’s and indicies that calculates nicely across the board with a lot of popular sire’s numbers. Explanation

EPD EXPLANATION

Registration Number: Cattle noted with “R” number are Registered Brangus. Those noted with a “UB” number are Ultrablacks, indicating they are a Brangus-Angus blend.

Polled/Scurred: Denotes cattle that are either smooth polled or have the presence of scurs or slick spots. Those bulls noted as “scurs” typically have had scurs removed post-weaning.

Genetic Conditions: Indicates genetic condition status with “Free” indicating tested free or pedigree free of currently known genetic conditions. Prefixes noted with a “C” indicate that given animal carries a non-lethal recessive gene for that given condition.

EXPECTED PROGENY DIFFERENCE

Expected Progeny Difference (EPD): The genetic predictor of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform relative to the progeny of other animals listed in the breed database. Most of the cattle in this sale will have Genomically Enhanced EPD (GE-EPD – ) values which means that their EPD value includes DNA marker information in addition to traditional performance and pedigree data leading to more reliability and higher accuracy.

Percentile Ranks: Ranks each given EPD trait against the breed population and expressed as a percentage ranking with 1% being top of the breed.

Calving Ease Direct (CED): predicts the difference in the percentage of unassisted births when used on heifers. The higher the number the more desirable for calving ease.

Birth Weight EPD (BW): predicts the difference, in pounds, for birth weight of progeny

Weaning Weight EPD (WW): predicts the difference, in pounds, for weaning weight of progeny adjusted to 205 days of age.

Yearling Weight EPD (YW): predicts the difference, in pounds, for yearling weight of progeny adjusted to 365 days of age.

Milk EPD (Milk): predicts daughters’ maternal contribution to weaning weight of the calf through milk production, behavior, immunity and other maternal factors.

Total Maternal EPD (TM): predicts the difference, in pounds, of daughters’ calves at weaning due to the combination of maternal ability and weaning growth genetics.

Calving Ease Maternal (CEM): predicts the difference in the percentage of unassisted births of first-calving daughters. The higher the number the more desirable for calving ease.

Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC): predicts the difference in centimeters of progeny testicular size. SC is also an indicator for age of puberty with higher SC reaching puberty earlier.

Ribeye Area (REA): predicts the difference in square inches of ultrasound ribeye area. This is highly correlated with carcass REA size used in USDA Yield Grade calculations.

Intramuscular Fat (IMF): predicts the difference in percent intramuscular fat. This is highly correlated to carcass marbling that determines USDA Quality Grade.

Cow Weight EPD (CW WT): predicts the difference, in pounds, for mature weight of daughters. Heifer Pregnancy EPD (Heif Preg): Predicts the probability that first-calving daughters will become pregnant. Expressed as a percentage.

Breed Back EPD (Breed Back): Predicts the probability that second-calving daughters will become pregnant after having their first calf. Expressed as a percentage.

Number of Calves EPD (Num Calves): Predicts the difference in number of calves that daughters will produce in their lifetime. The higher the number, the more calves are expected in their lifetime.

Terminal Index (Term): A bio-economic index that evaluates multiple traits to predict genetics best suited for selling calves on the rail that will excel at both growth and carcass traits. The higher the index, the more profit potential exists for progeny sold on the rail.

Fertility Index (Fert): A bio-economic index that evaluates multiple traits to predict genetics best suited for producing replacement females. The higher the index, the more profit potential exists for daughters kept in the herd.

PARENT VERIFICATION (PV • SV • DV)

PV – Parent Verified – both parents have been confirmed by DNA. Only if both parents also have DNA on file can an animal be Parent Verified.

SV – Sire Verified – the sire has been confirmed by DNA. The dam does not have DNA available for testing.

DV – Dam Verified – the sire has been confirmed by DNA. The sire does not have DNA available for testing.

TERMS & Conditions

BIDDING

Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final.

TERMS

The terms of the sale are cash, check or money order at the conclusion of the sale. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold, but it shall be the obligation of the seller to see that animals are fed and cared for until loaded for shipment or until the expiration of 48 hours after the sale, whichever occurs sooner. After 48 hours a maintenance fee of $5.00 per day will be assessed until pickup unless Pine Belt Alliance sale staff arranges shipment.

SIGHT UNSEEN PURCHASES

Buyers may purchase bulls through the owners or personnel at auction without viewing the cattle. For sight unseen purchases, the buyer has the right of inspection at the time of delivery. If the animal is deemed unsatisfactory, it may be reloaded on the delivery truck and returned to the owners at no obligation to the buyer. All transportation expenses will be the responsibility of the seller. If the animal is deemed unsatisfactory within one week of the purchase, the buyer may at their expense, return the animal to the owner’s ranch for a full refund of the purchase price. Sight unseen policy does not include purchases made via DVAuction.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY

A transferred certificate of registry will be furnished to the purchaser for each registered animal once proper settlement has been made.

HEALTH

Health papers suitable for interstate shipment will be furnished on all animals.

GENETIC CONDITIONS

All carriers or potential carriers of any known Genetic Conditions are noted in this catalog. All animals not noted as tested, have not been tested and sell as is with no further guarantees.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Any changes from the information of any kind in this catalog will be provided in a sale day supplement sheet or announced from the auction block and such information shall take precedence over cataloged information.

BREEDING GUARANTEE

All animals are guaranteed to be breeders with the exception of: injury or disease occurring after the sale, gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the purchaser, or death by any reason.

Any bull which settles cows by natural service and passes a fertility test made by competent veterinarians, mutually agreed upon by the buyer and seller, during any six month period of trial (provided for in paragraph 2 of the section of these sales terms and conditions entitled “Options and Privileges of Return or Adjustment”) shall be considered a breeder.

This is not a life insurance policy. Seller will not replace a dead animal if it is killed or dies for any reason. We would suggest that normal care still needs to be exercised toward these animals and that yearling bulls should be fed so they can continue to develop properly. Options and Privileges of Return or Adjustment

All claims for adjustment or refund must be made in writing within six months of the sale date.

In the event an animal is claimed to be a non-breeder, the animal may be returned to owner’s ranch, if in good condition and complying with the health requirements of their state. The seller shall be entitled to a six month trial following the return of the animal in which to prove that the animal is a breeder. If at the end of six months the seller is unable to prove the animal is a breeder, the seller shall at the option of the buyer replace the animal with another of equal value or issue a credit for the initial selling price. If the seller proves the animal to be a breeder, it shall be the obligation of the purchaser to take delivery of the animal and pay all expenses incurred for transportation.

If an animal is sold and at a later date proves not to be eligible for registration under association rules, the seller shall be obligated to make a satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer, refund the purchase price or issue a credit for the initial selling price upon the return of the animal to the farm of the seller.

If an animal is sold and through DNA is proven to have incorrect parentage as represented by the certificate of registration, and for which the parentage can be determined, the seller shall be obligated to make a satisfactory adjustment on the purchase price to the buyer, refund the purchase price or issue a credit for the initial selling price upon the return of the animal to the farm of the seller.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal and shall be equally binding on both. Other than the guarantees and warranties stated above, no other warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied. Each sale or resale of an animal constitutes a separate transaction. Neither bull owners nor any other person connected with the management of the sale, assumes any liability, legal or otherwise.
