OASIS THERAPY CENTER
AN OASIS FOR THE MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT
This massage helps relieve everyday tension and stress by promoting the relaxation of tense, tight and often sore muscles. Long, soothing strokes stimulate blood circulation and promote the elimination of waste.
A therapeutic and restorative massage, this therapy offers a specific and systematic method of eliminating toxic waste, blockages and tension in fibrous connective tissue throughout the muscular system.
Connective Tissue Massage (CTM) is a dynamic approach to bodywork that releases myofascial restrictions. It is the most effective massage method available, relieving chronic tension, producing greater ease and efficiency of movement, improving posture and increasing body awareness. Fascia is like plastic cellophane that encases every muscle and organ and is interconnected throughout the body. Adhesions in the fascia can restrict movement and compromise postural integrity. CTM releases patterns of chronic fascial adhesions, restoring optimum posture, movement and function to the musculoskeletal system. When you receive CTM, make sure there is no oil or lotion on your skin. Recommended attire is a loose-fitting pair of athletic shorts and a sports bra for women.
Neuromuscular therapy involves releasing "trigger points" which are areas of little or no circulation Ischemia and an excess build-up of toxins such as lactic acid. These areas of adhesion can entrap nerves and cause radiating pain. Neuromuscular therapy will involve working the entire muscle and insertions for a much longer lasting result. This will release the sustained contraction of the muscle and toxins within.
Incorporates a customized full body massage with tuning forks that carry vibration and sound. Sound has the power to soothe, invigorate and inspire us and aids in clearing blockages and muscular knots. These two powerful modalities form a treatment that is both uniquely relaxing and remarkably effective.
