WHO’S WHO AT THE HIPP THEATRE Stephanie Lynge (Artistic Director) is an accomplished

actor, director, producer, teacher and coach. Stephanie has enjoyed a career of more than 27 years in professional theater and education. Since 2013 she has worked on more than 40 productions at the Hippodrome either as an actor, director, choreographer, or dramaturg. She was seen on stage last season in The Wolves and Let The Right One In. Her other acting credits include performances in New York City on Broadway and Off Broadway at Lincoln Center, BAM, Jean Cocteau Rep, and the York Theater Workshop. Regional theaters include Freefall, Goodspeed Opera House, Sacramento Music Circus, Pasadena Playhouse, Rep Theater of St. Louis, Flat Rock Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Seaside Music Theater, as well as several National Tours. Directing credits include the Hippodrome’s Every Christmas Story Ever Told, The Legend of Georgia McBride, and The Ultimate Christmas Show as well as plays at the 45th Street Theater (NYC), New York Musical Theater Festival, and the University of Florida. Stephanie has served as a Visiting professor at Indiana University, and an Adjunct professor at New Jersey City University and University of Florida. After receiving her BA in Musical Theater from Indiana University, Stephanie lived and worked as an actor in New York City for over 20 years. Stephanie holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting from University of Florida and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association since 1996.


WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Gregory Jones^* (Ebenezer Scrooge) Gregg returns to the Hipp for his twenty-third run of A Christmas Carol. Before playing Scrooge, he had the infinite pleasure of playing Jacob Marley opposite Hippodrome legend Rusty Salling for 16 years. Mr. Jones has appeared on the Hippodrome stage since the 1978-79 season when he first appeared in They Shoot Horses Don’t They?. Since then, he has played various roles in more than 50 productions at the theatre including: (Tom) Dinner With Friends, (Salvador Dali) Hysteria, (Adrian) Private Eyes, (Leslie, Phyllis and Tom) Sylvia, and (Sid Caesar) Laughter on the 23rd Floor, (Det. Nick Rosetti) Shear Madness (2 Runs), (Adrian) Stage Kiss, (Walter Flood) Becky’s New Car. Film and television: Waterways, Miami Vice, A Flash of Green and Coastlines (Victor Nunez). Since 2004 he has been the director of Leading Edge, a business theatre ensemble that works with major corporate clients as part of Exec. Ed./UF. Gregg is a former Santa Fe College theatre faculty where he taught for 28 years, retiring in 2015, and is a proud member of Actors Equity (1974) and SAG-AFTRA (1985). Niall McGinty^* (Bob Cratchit) Niall is a proud ensemble member of the Hippodrome. Hippodrome credits include: Miracle on South Division Street (Jimmy), Ripcord (Derek), 1984 (Winston), Hamlet (Laertes), Peter and the Starcatcher (Peter), Eurydice (Orpheus), The Glass Menagerie (Tom), Romeo and Juliet (Romeo), The Diary of Anne Frank (Peter), The Play About the Baby (Boy), Proof (Hal), Macbeth (Ross). WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Bill Eissler (Mr.Fezziwig, Topper, Merchant) Bill is happy to be making his Hippodrome premier. He is currently a 3rd year MFA Acting candidate at UF. Favorite roles include Cyrano, Roderick Usher, and Casy in Grapes of Wrath. Gainesville audiences have seen him in The Seagull, Kiss Me Kate, Beaux Stratagem, Hairspray, Red Velvet, and Hills on Fire at the University of Florida.

Madeline Elyse Smyth (Martha) Maddie is thrilled to be back at the Hippodrome for her 6th year of A Christmas Carol and excited to be part of this new adaptation. Some of her favorite performances have included Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (Young Baby Jane/The Hippodrome), Ruthless (Tina Denmark/Actor’s Warehouse), Peter and the Starcatcher (Molly swing/Gainesville Community Playhouse) and Tommy the Musical (Young Tommy/Acrosstown Repertory Theater). Leah Weiser (Dolly) Leah Weiser’s acting experience includes Fairy Tale Misfits (Sleepless Beauty and Vegetarian Witch), Anne Jr. (Orphan) and Charlotte’s Web (Baby Spider) at High Springs Playhouse. Other credits include The Wizard of Oz (Scarecrow) at the Hippodrome Theater, Seussical, Jr. (Thing 1) and The Amish Project (Ensemble) at Star Center Theater. Carson Holley (Belinda) Carson is in the 5th grade and is grateful to return to the mainstage. Active in local theater, some favorite shows have been To Kill A Mockingbird (Scout), The Little Mermaid (Flounder) and Amish Project (Velda). Carson has also performed with the UF Opera Theater, Latino Sound Machine Entertainment, and IBA Music. She just released her first single, Que Late, which is available on all digital platforms. Neko Nappy (Young Belle) Neko is in the 6th grade at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School. This is Neko’s fourth year in A Christmas Carol. She has also performed in the Hippodrome’s Summer Spectacular productions of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Three Musketeers. Neko plays volleyball at P.K. and enjoys surfing and singing. Kendall Petersen (Belinda) Kendall is in the 6th grade at Kanapaha Middle School and is thrilled for her first performance on the Hippodrome stage. Kendall has also performed at the Gainesville Community Playhouse in Annie (Kate), as well as with Star Center Theatre in Shrek the Musical Jr (Storyteller). She has been active with Musical Me Theater for over 5 years where some of her favorite roles were in Annie Jr (Annie), Beauty and the Beast (Chip), and The Little Mermaid Jr (Chef Louis).


WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Trevor Ellis (Scrooge as Boy) This is Trevor’s second year performing in A Christmas Carol. He has also performed in the Hipp’s Summer Spectacular productions, most recently playing the Lion, in the Wizard of Oz. Trevor is a sixth grader at High Springs Community School and along with acting, loves rocking out on the drums and guitar. He is a guest drummer for the local kid rock band, “Heavy Pedal”, and was on the PBS televised talent show with Ethan Bortnick last year. Corrin Pulliam (Martha) Corrin is a sophomore enrolled in the Cambridge program at GHS. She is ecstatic to be returning for her second year in A Christmas Carol. She was last seen in Seussical (GHS), To Kill a Mockingbird (Star Center Theater), Twelfth Night (GHS), and The Amish Project (Star Center Theater). Aidan VanBourgondien (Peter) Aidan is thrilled to be involved in his first performance at the Hippodrome Theatre. He loves to challenge himself artistically and looks forward to future opportunities. His previous performances, in part, include, Hairspray (Mr. Pinky, The Principal, IQ), The Crucible (Thomas Putnam), School House Rock (George), Game of Tiaras (Guard Two, Dwarf One). Mimi Macklin (Fan) Mimi is thrilled to be playing Fan for the fourth time in A Christmas Carol. She has performed in many shows at the High Springs Playhouse including Charlotte’s Web, Annie and The Jungle Book. She is a member of the National Junior Beta Club, a Curvy Girl leader and a Girl Scout. Lexi Macklin (Tiny Tim) Lexi is excited to be making her stage debut here at the Hippodrome. She enjoys taking acting classes, gymnastics and creating art. Channing O’Halloran (Dolly) This is Channing’s sixth year performing in A Christmas Carol, previously as Tiny Tim, Turkey Girl and Young Belle. Other favorite roles include: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Charlie Bucket, Hippodrome Theatre), Twelfth Night (Feste, We The People Arts Initiative), Julius Caesar ( Casca, We The People Arts Initiative), Haint Blues (Automatic Slim, We The People Arts Initiative) and Under A Liar’s Moon (Mimi, Actors’ Warehouse). Channing also worked on Stranger Things seasons 1 and 2 for Netflix. Channing is a junior in high school. Lillian Ehlers (Turkey Kid) Lillian is thrilled to return for her sixth year as a cast member in the Hipp’s A Christmas Carol. Lillian recently worked on her first feature film project filmed in Boston, Defending Jacob, and she continues to work short film and commercial projects in NYC and Atlanta. In her pursuit of a career in the performing arts, Lillian entered the 9th grade at PK Yonge Performing Arts High School, and she will appear as Princess Jasmine in the fall production Game of Tiaras, as well as a lead dancer in the spring musical, Guys and Dolls.


WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Faith Franck (Turkey Kid) Faith is in the ninth grade at P.K. Yonge. She previously played Martha Cratchit in the Hippodrome’s A Christmas Carol production and has also performed in the Hipp’s Summer Spectacular productions for the past six years. Sadie Christensen (Tiny Tim) Sadie is 8 years old, from Gainesville, Fl, and is in 3rd grade at The Rock School. She’s a good girl, loves her mama, loves Jesus, and America too! This is her second performance in A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim), and loves every minute. GeriAnne Meals (Young Belle) GeriAnne is excited to be returning to A Christmas Carol as Young Belle. GeriAnne is fourteen years old, and is a student at St. Francis Catholic Academy. Past productions she’s been in include:The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy Gale), A Journey to Narnia (Queen Jadis), and The Fairytale Misfits (Groundhog). Evelyn Orsini (Fan) Evelyn Orsini is ten years old and attends the fifth grade at Stephen Foster Elementary. She played in The Wizard of Oz (Twice at the Hippodrome Summer Spectacular, once as Zoq and once as The Tin Man/Girl) and The Great Bear of Orange (The Hippodrome Spring Break camp as Katrine). She dreams of one day becoming a film actress. Peter Weinstein (Peter) Peter Weinstein is delighted to return for his third year as part of the Hippodrome’s annual production of A Christmas Carol where he has previously played Scrooge as a Boy (2017) and Peter Cratchit (2018). Some of his other favorite roles have included Theo in Pippin (PK Yonge 2018) and Jem in To Kill A Mockingbird (Star Theatre 2019). Off stage he plays the piano and enjoys karate training at Gainesville Dojo, swimming on his school swim team, and reading fantasy/science fiction. He is in the eighth grade at PK Yonge. Theodor Canev (Scrooge as Boy) Theodor is in 5th Grade in Chiles Elementary. This is his second year in A Christmas Carol. He had also participated in Summer Spectacular’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Theodor plays piano and cello, soccer, and basketball. He enjoys building computers and playing chess. John Gray (Director) John is thrilled to be making his directing debut at the Hippodrome. He has spent most of his directing career in educational theatre working with kids from kindergarten to college age and has former students working in all aspects of theatre from performing to design. Favorite shows include An Ideal Husband (Sonnet Repertory Theatre), Merrily We Roll Along (Wichita State), Phantasmagoria (Prospect Theater Company), Broadway Bombs (Joe Allen Players), Grease (Tippecanoe Outdoor Amphitheater) and Das Barbecu (Heartists.) In addition to directing, John has choreographed and costumed numerous productions and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Marilyn Wall (Original Costume Designer) Marilyn Wall is a co-founder of the Hippodrome, where she is Artistic Associate and Costume Designer-in-Residence. She has designed and built costumes for more than 350 professional productions for the stage and for film. Her stage designs have been seen in San Diego, Boston, Denver, Connecticut, New York, Alabama, Massachusetts, and Toronto. In the film world she has designed costumes and makeup for: A Flash of Green, with Ed Harris; Shimmer, with MaryBeth Hurt; Ruby in Paradise, with Ashley Judd; Gathering Evidence, with Angelina Jolie; Miami Hustle, with Kathy Ireland; and Ulee’s Gold, with Peter Fonda and Patricia Richardson. Ms. Wall has also served as a designer for Phil Donahue, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Todd Field, Joan Steffend, Scott Simon, and Travis Tritt, and is a two-time Emmy Award winner for her design work on Salsa, a national television children’s series. She received an Audelco Award nomination for her original costume design for Cookin’ at the Cookery and a Beverly Hills/Hollywood Theatre Award nomination for Best Costume Design. She is currently designing puppets and costumes for a new children’s television series called OrganWise Guys. Marilyn was the invited artist for HGTV White House Christmas Special 2003-2005. Most recently, Marilyn was awarded a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship for 2009. Elizabeth Haroian* (Stage Manager) Liz is thrilled to be joining the team here at the Hippodrome and with A Christmas Carol no less! Liz grew up in Hopkinton, MA; the start of the Boston Marathon. She now, somewhat begrudgingly, lives in NYC. Some of Liz’s favorite stage management credits are: 3/Fifths (3LD/3/Fifths), Symphonie Fantastique (Basil Twist), The Pirate La Dee Da (ATC), The Secret Garden and Sister Act (NYU), Grease (New London Barn), The Winter’s Tale (Saratoga Shakespeare Company), Richard III (Juilliard), The Polar Express (Rail Events/Warner Brothers), Maestro (ERC), and Much Ado About Nothing (ART). She’s also had the pleasure of working with many academic programs including NYU Steinhardt, The Juilliard School, Perry Mansfield Performing Arts School, Atlantic, and ART/Harvard. Amid all of the chaos remember to have fun! Mihai Ciupe (Scenic Designer) Originally from Romania, Mihai Ciupe received a double MFA degree in costume and set design from Carnegie Mellon University and his BFA from Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During his MFA program he was awarded the George Kimberly Scene Design Award and the Oren Parker Award in Design and Production. Prior to the United States he was the resident scenographer at The National Theatre of Cluj, Romania. During his former years he traveled extensively in Europe in tours with the shows that he designed, getting exposure to the various schools of theatre from England, Scotland, Hungary, France and Yugoslavia. As a designer he worked with some of the greatest Romanian directors: Gabor Tompa, Alexandru Dabija, Iulian Visa, Mihai Manutiu, Victor Ion Frunza. In 1991 he received a scholarship to attend The London International Festival of Theatre. Since 1995 he is a member of The United Association of the Romanian Fine Artists in the scenography section. In 1999 he joined the faculty of School of Theatre and Dance department at University of Florida, where he is now an Associate Professor in Scene Design.


WHO’S WHO IN A CHRISTMAS CAROL Keira McDonald (Props Designer) This is Keira’s first production with the Hippodrome, and she is ecstatic to be a part of this show. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Flagler College and has since worked as Props Master for Horn in the West in Boone, NC, the nation’s oldest continuously running outdoor drama. Christine Robertson* (Assistant Stage Manager) is thrilled to be working at The Hippodrome! Numerous AEA acting credits include Amalia in She Loves Me at The Theatre at the Center (Jeff Nomination, Best Musical, Chicago Area), Vi in Footloose at The Little Theatre on the Square, and multiple shows at the historic Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. She originated the role of Lucy in the highly acclaimed world premiere of Kirke Mechem’s opera, The Rivals, at Skylight Opera Theatre in Milwaukee and appeared as Gabriel/Eve in The Creation, performing with the International Chamber Artists and members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She is proud to have served her country as a member of the United States Air Force Heritage of America Band where she performed as a soloist with the concert band, the jazz band, and the elite protocol band, The Blue Aces. Ms. Robertson served on the voice faculty of Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois for 7 years and currently maintains a private studio in Gainesville where she teaches singing lessons and also the Alexander Technique. www.christinerobertsonstudio.com
