WHO’S WHO AT THE HIPP Stephanie Lynge (Artistic Director) is an accomplished

actor, director, producer, teacher and coach. Stephanie has enjoyed a career of more than 27 years in professional theater and education. Since 2013 she has worked on more than 40 productions at the Hippodrome either as an actor, director, choreographer, or dramaturg. She was seen on stage this season in The Wolves and Let The Right One In. Her other acting credits include performances in New York City on Broadway and Off Broadway at Lincoln Center, BAM, Jean Cocteau Rep, and the York Theater Workshop. Regional theaters include Freefall, Goodspeed Opera House, Sacramento Music Circus, Pasadena Playhouse, Rep Theater of St. Louis, Flat Rock Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Seaside Music Theater, as well as several National Tours. Directing credits include the Hippodrome’s Every Christmas Story Ever Told, The Legend of Georgia McBride, and The Ultimate Christmas Show as well as plays at the 45th Street Theater (NYC), New York Musical Theater Festival, and the University of Florida. Stephanie has served as a Visiting professor at Indiana University, and an Adjunct professor at New Jersey City University and University of Florida. After receiving her BA in Musical Theater from Indiana University, Stephanie lived and worked as an actor in New York City for over 20 years. Stephanie holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting from University of Florida and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association since 1996.


ABOUT THE AUTHOR Chisa Hutchinson (Author) Chisa Hutchinson’s socially probing plays, including SHE LIKE GIRLS, SEX ON SUNDAY, THE SUBJECT, DEAD & BREATHING, and SOMEBODY’S DAUGHTER, have been produced by City Parks’ SummerStage, the Lark, the National Black Theatre, the Contemporary American Theater Festival, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Atlantic Theater Company. Amongst others, she has won a GLAAD Award, a Lilly Award, a New York Innovative Theatre Award, the Lanford Wilson Award, and has been a finalist for the PoNY Fellowship. She’s also been a Lark Fellow, a Dramatists Guild Fellow, a resident at the William Inge Center for the Arts, a Humanitas Fellow, and a Resident Playwright at Second Stage Theater. Chisa is a fourth-year member of New Dramatists and a creative writing professor at the University of Delaware. (B.A. Vassar College; M.F.A NYU—Tisch School of the Arts)


WHO’S WHO IN PROOF OF LOVE Ryan George*^ (Director) Ryan George is a Brooklyn based actor/creator/director. Raised in Miami and received his BFA in Theater Performance at UF. His professional credits include the role of Asa Bedford in Midwives (George Street Playhouse), Trevor in The Play That Goes Wrong (Repertory Theater of St. Louis), Oshoosi in The Brother Size (Gablestage), Associate in The Christians (Riverside Theater), and lastly seen on the Hippodrome stage as Fish in The Royale which he co-directed with Warhol Caldwell. He’s excited to continue his foray into directing with this new hybrid production for The Hipp and is glad to see that in the midst of all this uncertainty, art is still pushing its way through. He looks forward to being able to join his company members and the Gainesville community again in person sooner than later.


WHO’S WHO IN PROOF OF LOVE Joy Lynn Jacobs* (Constance Daley) Born on a snowy Christmas Eve, Joy (named, of course, for the song Joy to the World) came into the world singing. She grew up entertaining her family, her church, and all the school audiences before moving on to professional stages all over America and the world. Joy’s career so far: Soloist for everything from Mozart to Motown for many symphonies: Winston-Salem, Portland, Spokane, Roanoke, Phoenix, and Detroit and Regina, Canada etc. Broadway – Beatrice in the world premiere of “Marie Christine”; the Stroman revival of “The Music Man”; The first national tours of “Ragtime” and Hal Prince’s “Show Boat”. Off-Broadway - created the roles of Power Woman in - “Menopause the Musical” and Delia in “Asylum: The Strange Case of Mary Lincoln”; The Encores series as the Answerer in “Lost in the Stars”; Madame Wu-Chan (stand-by) in Manhattan Theater Club’s, “Our Leading Lady”; Delia in the York Theater’s “Asylum: The Strange Case of Mary Lincoln”. Regional – Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music; Sadie in Having Our Say; Lola in Jar the Floor; Aunt Eller in “Oklahoma”; Armelia in “Ain’t Misbehavin’”; Bloody Mary in “South Pacific”; Sylvia in “All Shook Up”; Reno Sweeney in “Anything Goes”; Lady Tiang in “The King & I”; Aldonza in “Man of La Mancha”; Anita in “West Side Story”; Muzzy in “Thoroughly Modern Millie”; Wanda, in the Regina Taylor play “Crowns”, etc. Now dipping toes into the vast ocean of Film, Television (Manifest, Luke Cage, House of Cards, Gotham, Nurse Jackie) & Voice Over (including a delightful lead character in a new animated series for Nickelodeon). WHO’S WHO IN PROOF OF LOVE Robert P. Robins*(Lighting Designer, Production Manager) Bob is enjoying his 35th season at the Hippodrome. During his tenure here at the Hippodrome, Bob has provided lighting designs for over 300 Main Stage productions. Over the course of his time at the Hippodrome, Bob has held many titles such as lighting designer, sound engineer, live audio mixer, stage manager for Hippodrome Mainstage; touring productions and Theatre For Young Audiences tours, pyrotechnician, lightboard operator, and bartender. Today, in addition to lighting designer and production manager, Bob is also the facility manager of the 110 year old building that the Hippodrome calls home. Bob also provides freelance lighting designs around the country when he can. He is also an Actors’ Equity Association stage manager, and proudly holds a BFA in Theatre Production from the University of Florida. See more of Bob’s work at www.robertrobins.com Amber Wilkerson*^ (Stage Manager) Amber spent two full seasons at the Hippodrome, first as Properties Intern, then as Assistant Stage Manager before moving to New York City to pursue a career in theatre. She returned to the Hipp as the AEA Stage Manager of A Christmas Carol in 2005 & 2006. She has worked professionally for The Metropolitan Opera (NYC), The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (Madison, NJ), North Shore Music Theatre (Beverly, MA), and Times Square New Year’s Eve 2006-2010 (NYC). In 2006, Amber served as a Production Assistant on the Broadway musical, Grey Gardens. More recently, Amber spent five years working with Manhattan Theatre Club as a Subscriber Services Representative and two years as a House Manager at Playwrights Horizons, both in New York City. Originally from Maryland, she holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Salisbury University. Amber is a proud member of the Hippodrome Company and the Actors’ Equity Association. Clara Jean Kelly (Costume Designer / Costume Shop Manager) Clara Jean Kelly is a Costume Designer originally from Cullowhee, NC, and is currently working as the Residential Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager at The Hippodrome State Theatre in Gainesville, FL. She has her MFA in Costume Design from Florida State University and does freelance costume design all over the United States. Clara Jean has previously designed such shows as “Twelfth Night”, “Pride and Prejudice” and “Miss Holmes” at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, “Moon Over Buffalo”, “Henry V” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, as well as “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and “Seascape” at Theatre at Monmoth in Monmoth, ME. She is excited to start her first season here at The Hippodrome Theatre online with “Proof of Love”.


WHO’S WHO IN PROOF OF LOVE Amanda Nipper (Sound Designer & Video Editor) Amanda is thrilled to be in her seventh season at the Hippodrome. Other regional credits include Cape Fear Regional Theatre: Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde: The Musical, and The Parchman Hour: Songs and Stories of the ’61 Freedom Riders as the mix engineer in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Dorset Theatre Festival: Good People, The Whore and Mr. Moore, Boeing Boeing, and Deathtrap. Keep moving forward. Warren Goodwin (Technical Director, Scenic & Properties Designer) Warren joined the Hippodrome in 2004 as a carpenter in the scene shop, and assumed the role of Master Carpenter in 2006. In addition to helping build over a hundred of Hippodrome sets, Warren served as co-scenic designer on The Christians and The Wolves. He is thrilled to be currently serving as Technical Director. In his free time, Warren enjoys painting, and is an accomplished local artist. You can often find his work on display next door at Maude’s Cafe. Bill Boothman (Lead Electrician/ Video Editor) Bill is in his first year at The Hippodrome. Prior to joining the Hipp Bill worked with the stagehand’s union IATSE local 115 in Jacksonville, FL. Souvenir marks the first occasion in which Bill has served in a design position for the Hipp. Prior design credits for Bill include lighting design for Peter and the Wolf, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and The Music Man and as props designer for a production of Young Frankenstein. Bill would like to thank Liz and Johnny for all of the guidance and opportunities they have given.
