a hippie street preacher, convinces Pastor Chuck to open the church.

The hippies start to show up at the church.

Pastor Chuck, who was challenged by his daughter, talks about God's love to the "least of these." Lonnie has a strong spirit-filled sermon on the Bible.

Themovie, Jesus Revolution, is an entertaining movie; it is accurate but it's a compressed account of the Vietnam protest period of the hippy and young revolutionaries who came to Jesus as God called many Christians to welcome them into the body of Jesus Christ. The plot of the movie is driven by a love story that is between a poverty stricken young man named Greg Laurie, with an alcoholic mother, and a beautiful young woman named Cathe who is from a wealthy Laguna Hills family in Southern California. This movie is very fearless about showing drug use, joint living and the protest rallies, where many were saved by grace.

The movie starts with a large Christian baptism by Lonnie Frisbee at Pirates's Cove Beach

Then Greg is going to military school at his mother's request, but Greg passes by a rally at a nearby public school, where Black Panthers and hippies are speaking. He then sees a beautiful girl. Then one of the hippies comes up to him and says, "What are you looking at?" The hippie notices he is looking at Cathe and calls her over. Cathe then invites Greg to a weekend hippie party.

At that same time, Pastor Chuck Smith who is nearby has a small, but dying church who is confronted by his daughter, Jeanette, to open his church up to the hippies and outcasts. When Pastor Chuck does this, all the members are shocked and very upset.

Lonnie Frisbee, who is

At this time, Cathe has burned herself out on the drug scene and tries Pastor Chuck's church and she convinces Greg to come to the Calvary Chapel.

Now Greg just thinks that this Jesus Movement is just another trend, but he eventually comes to Jesus and is baptized in Pirate Cove.

After, Greg becomes involved in the church and feels more and more that he is called to preach. He asked Cathe's father if he could marry his daughter and her father rejects Greg because he is poor. He is so devastated that he leaves Cathe.

The question is will Greg and Cathe get back together? Will revival break out beyond Newport Beach? Will Greg Laurie have his own ministry?
