Faith, Hope and Love are three powerful words that are in the Bible. We have faith we love God and Jesus Christ and through them we have Hope.
Were going to talk about Hop, the title of a book written by Dr. David Jeremiah.
Faith is the foundation of things hoped for when we can't see them. Faith gives us Hope in the middle of whatever storms your going through. God uses the storms in our life to strengthen our faith in Him. We are to fear God not in storms, for our Hope is in Him. Whatever storm you might be going through in your life right now, place your faith in God.
He will take away your fear, He already knows your thoughts and exactly what your feeling. Fear is the opposite of faith trust God and He will help you overcome. Jesus is more powerful than any storm you will ever encounter and He wants you to come to Him. He promises that those in Christ will be saved, they absolutely will be. In James 1:2 He says, "Count it all joy when you fall into various trials."
We will all encounter storms in this life even Jesus suffered for us, but our Hope is in Jesus. Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5, He also told His disciples, "Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" Matthew 28:20.
The book of numbers in the Bible talks about the twelve men form the twelve tribes who were sent to scout out the new land. Only Joshua and Caleb returned with Hop in God's promises, the other ten men were afraid of what they had seen. You can either focus on your problems or on the solution. The ten men talked about the giants of the new land, only two men trusted the size of their God. "If God is for us who can be against us?" Romans 8:31. God told Joshua he was to follow the word of God completely and not turn to the right or left.
The people eventually turned to other gods and they suffered as God removed His protection from them.
We have that same choice we can follow the material things of this world and live in fear, or always follow God and His word and live without fear.
Jesus Christ is our only Hope. He is our living Hope.
Psalm 91:5-7, "You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you."
