HISTORIC MACON PRESENTS NATHALIE DUPREE MACON, Ga. — Historic Macon and the Lanier Center for Literary Arts are excited to present renowned chef and cookbook author Nathalie Dupree as a special guest to conclude the “Biscuits & Bouquets” Salon Series. Dupree’s visit will take place on Nov. 13 and will include two Historic Macon events. Both will be held at the Blacksmith Shop, 665 Poplar St. “Nathalie’s Biscuit Bash” will occur at 11:00 a.m. In this biscuit-making master class, participants will learn about making classic Southern biscuits as well as specialty biscuits. A special Salon will be held at 5:30 p.m. where Dupree will give tips for quick and easy Thanksgiving preparation. A book sale and signing will also take place. Admission is $75/person during early registration before Nov. 6. Admission after Nov. 6 will be $85/person. Admission for the 5:30 p.m. Salon is $10 for Historic Macon members and $15 for non-members at the door. Dupree is the author of 11 cookbooks selling over half a million copies and has hosted more than 300 television shows since 1986 on PBS, the Food Network and The Learning Channel. She recently published “Southern Biscuits,” co-authored by Cynthia Graubart.
