La Sax specially designed “Saxo Carnival of the Animals Workshop” to demonstrate the music instruments and introduce musical knowledge. The workshop encouraged students to appreciate music and enjoy through sing-along.
“We just want children to enjoy music with fun. We are really motivated and moved by the workshop’s result. When it first started, some kids in nursery class were still anxious and tearful. Once the music began, they calmed down and became so focused. We were all amazed.” “There is a lot of limitation in Hong Kong’s education. Music or other art forms can be a release outlet or a means to imagine or create.” La Sax 團員 君 Irene Tse Member of La Sax
“The children were smiling and mesmerised. Brilliant workshop!” “Things get more fun in theatre format. The children had a taste of music theory.” Kindergarten teacher

Théâtre de la Feuille brought the much loved “L’Orphelin School Tour ” to primary and secondary students and teachers. Divided into three parts of pre-show guided session, performance and artist sharing, the programme was an introduction to theatre performance as well as a reflection on truth and history. Students were encouraged to see from different perspectives beyond the classroom learning.
“We invited students to reflect on Hong Kong, truth and history. They were really eager to speak up after the performance. I told the students, 'We won't be able to tell the story without your imagination in this physical theatre.' This performance allowed them to be more critical and expressive.” “When watching a performance, we relate it to our real life and introspect our feelings. This is the worth of arts, which is each student’s personal quest and finally, it becomes a part of every individual. Through arts appreciation, we feel and form our beliefs. Then we cannot help but observe the world and do the right thing. This is the power of arts education.” Ata Wong Chun Tat Artistic director of Théâtre de la Feuille
“The entire programme was meticulous. A fine performance, entertaining and pertinent. The interaction with students was amusing.”

In the age of social media, the art of portrait photography and posing for getting likes has become part of our daily lives. But how does this impact our way of reading images as well as the construction of our self image? In his latest work Unfolding Images: We Are Spectacle(s), choreographer Joseph Lee questions the mass production, reproduction and insatiable consumption of images in the digital age. Through contemporary theatre performance and the examination of body movement and gestures, Lee and his five performers guide us to reflect the times we are living in. In this special performance, Lee also invites students to join the creative team on this journey to explore the relationship between to see and be seen. Students are encouraged to contemplate the meaning of images nowadays. The team will share their experiences in their creative adventure and their observations of the phenomenon that has encroached upon us today. This programme will be conducted in Cantonese.
