IAU GOVERNMENT APPROVALS To Whom it May Concern, International American University (IAU) is approved in the United States as an degree-granting university. In the U.S., each state has a state apporval agency that has the authority to grant licensure or approval for private postsecondary schools, colleges, and universities. IAU’s state and federal government approvals are clearly stated in IAU’s catalog and website.
California State Approval: In December 2011, IAU received its five-year approval to operate by the State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). (BPPE school code#: 41500926)
California State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (CSAAVE). In September 2012, IAU was approved by the California State Approving Agency for Veterans Education (CSAAVE) to accept veterans who qualify for VA educational benefits under the G.I. Bill. Only U.S. government-approved institutions can be CSAAVE- approved. (Facility code#: 21116705)
U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Approval: In March 2009, IAU was approved by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to accept and enroll foreign, non-immigrant F-1 students for academic degrees. Only U.S. government-approved institutions can be SEVISapproved. (School code#: LOS214F01373000)
I welcome any interested individual to visit IAU’s main campus in Los Angeles and satellite campus in Orange County, California, USA. IAU’s main campus is located in the heart of Los Angeles, adjacent to Hancock Park, a historic and affluent urban neighborhood in Los Angeles. One can see the famous “Hollywood” sign and Griffith Observatory in the near distance from the office windows. IAU’s satellite campus in Orange County, CA, is approximately 48 miles south of the Los Angeles main campus. Orange County is the second most populous county in California, behind Los Angeles County. If there are any questions or further clarification is needed on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact International American University directly. Regards,
Ryan Doan, M.B.A. Executive Director Office of Executive Affairs
