BehindTitles aims to disrupt the conventional way in which the youth plans for their future career. We are a 24/7 digital platform that offers exclusive insights and hands-on industry experience to students for their career exploration while empowering parents to become the best support to their children in career planning.

With BehindTitles, students can take the initiative in exploring their values, interests, and competencies using our online career development assessment tools. Our algorithm will analyse the individual’s answers and recommends a selection of cherry-picked experience sessions that are the most compatible with their interests and abilities. These sessions, offered online and offline, give students a quick taste of how different industries work, so as to give them career inspiration. Carefully curated by industry experts, all sessions are designed not only to familiarise students with the working world, but also to challenge them in solving real problems faced by the respective professions, and allow them to interact with the industry experts and get first-hand information.

BehindTitles have parents in mind – we help parents understand their parenting styles, career development theories, modern parenting techniques through our platform and our exclusive parent community so that they can better support their children.

Each year, there is an addition of approximately 45 million new chronic disease cases worldwide, and according to WHO’s 2020 study, 91% of these cases would lead to mental health conditions. Mental health conditions not only worsen chronic diseases, but also discourage patients from adhering to medical treatment. Unfortunately, Hong Kong people have considerably inadequate access to mental health resources, considering the psychiatrist-to-population ratio of 4.5:100,000. Determined to make a change, Hollo aims to reduce the inequality of mental healthcare accessibility in an increasingly decentralised healthcare system.

Hollo is an app-based, digital mental healthcare platform for chronic patients, providing them with precision psychiatry treatment through clinically graded Digital Therapeutics (DTx), which is powered by Multimodal Biomarker AI. The Multimodal Biomarker AI allows psychodiagnosis to be done via alternative media (such as using patient videos for facial, vocal, or semantic recognition of any unconscious emotional signals), while also considering the complexity of a patient’s profile, including one’s physical symptoms, mental health reported data, background behavioural data, etc.

Our treatments are digitised and gamified versions of evidence-based interventions, which consist of psychoeducational content, mindfulness activities, and psychological exercises; these would be prescribed to patients as a 5-week programme to work through. By leading them towards mindfulness and value-based goal setting, patients would become more accepting of their life conditions and focus more on the positive aspects of their lives, which would ultimately help them to return to communities and reconnect with others.

We are currently at the stage of validating our products through clinical studies, which are carried out in association with a university research partnership, with the aim to obtain FDA’s approval. For the next step, we hope to partner with insurance companies and pharma to distribute our products via hospitals, clinics, and telemedicine service providers, so that we can help achieve better patient outcomes and higher treatment adherence.

Every day, in Hong Kong, a significant quantity of food that looks less than perfect is directly sent to waste, despite being perfectly delicious and nutritious. This type of food is known as “ugly food”, which is often thrown away simply because they look misshapen, off-sized, or a little bruised and damaged. In light of this situation, it is NOT ONLY POWDER’s mission to rescue these ugly foods, specifically fruits, from being wasted. But instead of producing more food to meet people’s demands, our plan is to better utilise the food we already have.

NOT ONLY POWDER collaborates with local fruit stores to collect ugly fruits that were intended to be discarded. We then upcycle these fruits by slicing them into pieces, dehydrating them with freeze-drying technology, and blending them into powder form. Through this upcycling process, the products’ 2-week shelf life will be lengthened to 1 year. Our powdered products can be widely used in drinks, desserts, dishes, and pastries, to name a few. Furthermore, we also strive to leverage on technology to facilitate communication, foster collaboration, and improve business agility between our partners and us, which is why we will provide a channel for our partners to update their ugly fruits inventory. We are proud to announce that, after making various iterations, we are now ready with our first collection! What about you?

FlashGreen is a social enterprise that is dedicated to handling residual stock of products whose best-before dates are about to expire, by recycling and redistributing them to different communities through vending machines and online channels. Combining technology with sustainability, FlashGreen aims to reduce unnecessary food waste, as well as to foster a smart and sustainable culture on campuses and in offices, through debunking the misconception about best-before dates and promoting responsible consumption behaviours.

Based in Hong Kong Science Park, Meat the Next is a social innovator enterprise that specialises in food technology and high-quality New Generation Food. By developing and producing delicious, nutritionally balanced, and affordable smart protein products and solutions, such as dairy-free ice cream, milk, plant-based meat, etc, our aim is to bring about diet change for the sake of individuals’ well-being, as well as global impact so as to combat climate change and alleviate food crisis. All the food technologies we utilised are also patented by ourselves, including non-GMO odourless soybean and the advanced fermentation technology.

We source our raw materials directly from green and clean-labelled suppliers. With our self-developed protein extrusion machine and advanced fermentation technology, we are also able to provide downstream food solutions and New Generation Food to adapt to the market’s needs.

Apart from developing New Generation Food products with food technology, we have also made effort to enlarge Meat the Next’s social impact by conducting talks and sharing at schools, elderly houses, and social enterprises to raise social awareness of how smart protein can help achieve sustainability. We offer DIY workshops where participants have the opportunity to produce future food by themselves, through which they could not only be equipped with related skills but may even gain interest in the sustainable lifestyle. Job and internship opportunities are also provided to educated rehabilitated persons, as an initiative to alleviate poverty issues as well as to foster purposefulness and confidence in these communities, all on top of our primary goal of environmental advocacy.
