新 生註 冊日區 域 介紹
Zones of Registration Day Zone 0 經 JUPAS 入 學 的 新 生 必 須 先 到 本 部 大 樓 陸 佑 堂 註 冊 成 為 港 大 學 生 。 經 Non-JUPAS 途 徑 及 Direct Admission Scheme (DAS) 入 學 的 新 生 須 前 往 本 部 大 樓 一 樓 MB167 室 註冊。 之 後 ， 新 生 將 會 到 本 部 大 樓 的 畢 業 生 議 會 廳 向 學 生 會 註 冊 ， 領 取 freshman pack 及
zone card。 新 生 須 於 zone card 上 填 寫 姓 名 及 學 科 ， 然 後 方 可 離 開 畢 業 生 議 會 廳 。 在 完 成 每 一 個 zone 後 ， 新 生 均 須 出 示 zone card ， 讓 工 作 人 員 蓋 印 。 新 生 每 進 入 一 個 zone 前 ， 必 須 出 示 zone card ， 展 示 上 一 個 zone 的 印 章 （ Zone 0 及 Zone 1 除外）。 For JUPAS students, please go to Loke Yew Hall of the Main Building for registration. For non-JUPAS or Direct Admission Scheme (DAS) students, please go to MB167 (opposite Loke Yew Hall) for registration. After that, freshmen will go to Convocation Room to register for the Hong Kong University Students’ Union (HKUSU) and get a freshman pack and a zone card from HKUSU. Please fill in your name and curriculum on the zone card before you leave the Convocation Room. After finishing all the procedures in a zone, freshmen will get a stamp of that zone. Freshmen should show the stamp of the previous zone(s) to the helpers before entering the next zone (except when entering Zone 0 and Zone 1).

Zone 1 踏出本部大樓後，新生可依照指示牌及工作人員的指示，前往 自己所屬的學院、院會及學術屬會註冊。每名新生必須完成其 學院及院會的註冊程序。 完 成 Zone 0 註 冊 程 序 後 ， 所 有 新 生 須 跟 隨 指 示 到 圖 書 館 延 伸 樓 （ Zone 1 集 合 點 ） 集 合 作 分 流 。 新 生 在 經 過 校 園 傳 媒 、 時 事委員會及大學事務委員會的宣傳位置後，便可到不同學院進行註冊程序。新生 可 在 Zone 1 報 名 參 加 由 院 會 及 學 術 屬 會 舉 辦 的 迎 新 活 動 ， 以 了 解 大 學 生 活 和 認 識 新同學，為大學生活作好準備。 After registering for HKUSU, freshmen should follow signs and instructions given by helpers to proceed to their own faculty and department for registration. Freshmen are required to finish all registration procedures for their own faculty and department. After finishing the procedures in Zone 0, freshmen should follow the signs to Library Extension, which is the assembly point for Zone 1. Freshmen will need to pass through the booths of campus media, Current Affairs Committee, and University Affairs Committee before heading to your own faculty for registration. In Zone 1, freshmen can join the orientation activities organised by faculty and academic societies. Orientation camps organised by faculty societies are commonly known as “Big O” while those organised by academic societies are commonly known as “Small O”. They provide great opportunities for freshmen to know more about university life and meet new friends.
Zone 2 Zone 2 位 於 學 生 會 大 樓 ， 文 化 聯 會 、 學 社 聯 會 及 體 育 聯 會 屬 會 一 共 於 此 設 有 56 個 攤 位 。 文 化 聯 會 由 16 個 文 化 屬 會 組 成 ， 其 舉 辦 的 活 動 屬 文 化 、 藝 術 及 益 智 類 。 學 社 聯 會 由 20 個 學 社 屬 會組成，屬會性質包括國際團體、宗教團體、社會服務團體、 不 同 的 興 趣 小 組 等 等 。 體 育 聯 會 由 25 個 體 育 屬 會 組 成 ， 類 型 涵 蓋 球 類 、 武 術 、 競 技 運 動 等 。 新 生 可 以 在 Zone 2 註 冊 成 為 不 同 屬 會 的 會 員 ， 以 及報名參加它們的迎新活動。 Zone 2 is located at the Union Building with 56 booths of clubs from Cultural Association, Independent Clubs Association, and Sports Association. Cultural Association is formed by 16 cultural clubs and they will organise activities related to art and culture. Independent Clubs

Association is formed by 20 clubs, which include international, religious, service, and other interest groups. Sports Association is formed by 25 clubs that promote different ball games, martial arts, and competitive sports. Freshmen can register freely as members of these clubs and join their orientation activities in Zone 2.
Zone 3 Zone 3 位 於 邵 逸 夫 平 台 。 此 區 擺 放 了 各 住 宿 及 非 住 宿 舍 堂 的 攤 位。除參觀攤位外，新生更可跟隨工作人員到其舍堂參觀，以 認識各舍堂獨特的文化。同時，新生亦可報名參加舍堂的體驗 營，與現任宿生交流，從而幫助自己選擇合適的舍堂。 Zone 3 is located at Run Run Shaw Podium. Booths of residential halls and non-residential halls can be found there. Freshmen can visit different halls to gain more understanding on their unique culture. Each hall will organise touch camps that offer valuable opportunities for freshmen to interact with current hall residents in order to help them choose the suitable halls for themselves.
完 成 4 個 區 域 後 ， 新 生 必 須 將 已 蓋 滿 3 個 印 章 的 zone card 交 回 位 於 Zone 3 的 工 作人員櫃檯，方可離開。 Freshmen may leave the campus after visiting all 4 zones. Before doing so, freshmen should return the zone card with 3 stamps to the counter located in Zone 3.
Zone Card • • 切 記 好 好 保 管 zone card ， 將 它 放 在 容 易 取 得 而 又 不 易 遺 失 的 地 方 。 • • 不 要 將 zone card 放 進 freshman pack 或 以 手 持 之 ， 以 免 混 淆 其 他 宣 傳 單 張 。 • • 一 旦 遺 失 zone card ， 新 生 有 機 會 被 要 求 返 回 Zone 0 重 新 註 冊 。 • • 完 成 每 個 區 域 後 ， 請 緊 記 讓 工 作 人 員 於 zone card 上 蓋 印 。 •• Please keep your zone card properly. Since you are going to have to take it out once in a while, put it in a handy place. •• To avoid mixing it up with other leaflets, do not put the zone card into the freshman pack or hold it with your hands. •• If you lose your zone card, you may be requested to go back and start from Zone 0 again. •• Please let the helpers put a stamp on your zone card after you finish visiting each zone.

資 料 搜 集 Research
新生可在註冊日前做好準備，了解各屬會及舍堂，避免在面對眾多選擇時花多眼 亂 。 新 生 可 到 http://www.hkusu.org/ 參 閱 迎 新 資 訊 及 連 結 至 各 屬 會 網 站 。 Freshmen could know more about different clubs, societies, and halls by visiting http://www. hkusu.org. Information related to orientation and links to different student organisations can be found there.

緊 記 守 時 Be punctual
為免不夠時間參觀所有心儀屬會，請盡可能在所屬時段註冊，不要遲到！ Please come at the assigned timeslot and don’t be late so that you could have enough time to visit each zone.
4.
切 忌 衝 動 Think carefully
各屬會的工作人員將施展渾身解數，務求招攬一眾新生加入屬會及報名參與迎新 活動。面對熱情的招待時，新生切記冷靜，下任何決定前記緊三思，不要衝動。 Every organisation will try its very best to invite freshmen to join their orientation activities. Stay calm and think carefully before making any decision.

緊 記 大 學 編 號 Remember your UID
大 學 生 涯 裡 會 經 常 用 到 大 學 編 號 （ UID）， 新 生 們 請 緊 記 。 經 JUPAS 入 學 者 的 大 學

編 號 是「 30 」+ JUPAS 編 號 ； 經 non-JUPAS 入 學 者 的 大 學 編 號 則 以 「 2015 」開 始 。 You will be using your UID a lot throughout your university life so please don’t forget it! For students who are admitted through JUPAS, your UID is “30” followed your JUPAS application number. For those admitted through non-JUPAS means, your UID begins with “2015”.

認 清 楚 工 作 人 員 Identify helpers carefully
若新生對索取自己個人資料的團體有所懷疑，可要求相關人士出示證件或團體印章。 If you are doubtful towards any organisation that request your personal information, you may ask the related personnel to show their identity cards or their society’s chop.
7.
保 留 收 據 Keep official receipts
新生付款參加活動後，緊記保留蓋有屬會會印的收據，並詳閱退款機制，以便需 要申請退款時使用。 Each time you pay the application fee for an orientation activity, you will be given a receipt with the corresponding society chop on it. Please keep it carefully and read the refund policy thoroughly.
