THESIS
RE_COMPOSITION: Examining the links between cultural knowledge, collective memory and Historical places, this project seeks to create a new methodology in the redevelopment of culturally and historically significant structures. Located in the industrial ruins of the Southern Pacific Railyards in Sacramento, CA, a new Center for Cultural Knowledge looks at the links between the historical expansion of the city and the sprawl of people in relation to the underlying layers of cultural knowledge that make the site significant in the collective memory.
