The natural way

For many years we have been known for our throws made from the unique Gotland wool, and we have been working with wool for three generations. We have traveled the world to find the best raw materials and as the world keeps changing, we will continue looking to be able to always produce the best possible products. We get the best alpaca fibers in Peru – here, the alpaca lives in great herds in the Andes Mountains. Introducing alpaca into our products has made it possible to work with one of nature’s best materials. We believe in creating natural living conditions for the animals. We reduce our environmental impact by letting the sheep and alpacas live in the most natural environment throughout their lives. It is of the highest priority for us that our animals live in a sustainable, free-range, and natural habitat with space to ensure that the animals live out their inherent behavior. The animals are only gathered when they must be sheared - and then returned to the wild afterward.
WOOL
Wool is our foundation. Wool is a unique natural material that provides insulation against both heat and cold, is naturally dirt-repellent, can hold lots of moisture without feeling wet, and has antibacterial properties. Wool has endless possibilities because its nature varies depending on the geographical origins and the individual sheep. In addition, the spinning, the dying, the weaving, and the processing that follows, allow for a wide range of possibilities when creating beautiful and lasting products. The natural nuances of the wool, white, grey, and brown, are defining components in our collections, and the wool is carefully sorted right after shearing.

Alpaca
We work with alpaca from Peru, where the fibers have adapted to the Andes’ harsh climate. The beautiful and thick coat provides insulation against both heat and cold. The skills of local artisans have been refined down through generations, thus enabling the raw fibers into beautiful textiles of exceptional quality.
Alpaca is available in several grades, but we have chosen to work only with the finest qualities: Baby alpaca and premium baby alpaca. The names do not refer to the alpaca’s age but only describe the delicate and thin quality. We have chosen to produce our alpaca products exclusively in Peru.

Working together
We have a great, long-lasting relationship with our suppliers who give us a fresh perspective on the production and sustained efficiency. For us, a good relationship means ethical and honest behavior and regular and effective communication for a constant, continual improvement of our operations.
Our production takes place in Lithuania and Peru, where we have our own offices, as it is essential for us to have long-term and stable collaborations based on mutual trust. We know our suppliers, and they know our values. That ensures that our production and working conditions are well-functioning, which is crucial as we operate in three different countries with different traditions and structures.
Since Jesper Castillo Olsen took over the company in 2017, it was with the vision of combining our unique knowledge of wool with a new approach to design and textiles among skilled textile designers.
Knowledge and professionalism about textiles must flourish at a high international level. Now and forever.
