BACKGROUND The building located in CBD Zone of Ho Chi Minh city, most crowdess city of Viet Nam. There are many Historical building that are well-know as a colonial architecture left by French, one of them is Tax Plaza. The historic and comtemporary urban context make me to reconsider of Preserving the Past in order to connect to the Future issue and then reborn Tax Plaza as a missing memory of Sai Gon. Let see...

BACKGROUND Location Ho Chi Minh city, District 2. I want to create a new model of Hotel that relate to the urban context with considering the view, water, way to access the building, and the feeling of a luxury hotel in the Center of City in Future.

BACKGROUND Location Quang Binh. Located in the middle of Vietnam, the hotel was designed to be a model of tropical city hotel to enjoy the seaside weather and healthy for all visitor. Natural sunlight and ventilation were taken in the design by introducing a center void throughout the vertical in the middle of the hotel. This void ensures the natural lighting and ventilation condition of the internal spaces in order to minimize the use of artificial lighting and air-conditioning and contribute to reducing energy. Facade was designed to take advantage of the Vietnamese tropical weather with wall with two colored sides that will make the hotel different when people stand in other angel of view. Their feet planted in balconies of the facade bring the hotel more green and help all visitor enjoy the city with “green� on up hight.

The inspiration came from an artis named Piet Mondrian which was the representative of The Stij Movement in Art & Architecture. I just pick up the line and propotion from his picture without color to generate a contemporarive mood for the facade

BACKGROUND [Second Prize and Feasibility Prize of Green housing design competition) Size: 4x15m Location: Ho Chi Minh city The project located in a west-face plot of an urban community in Ho Chi Minh city. The size of the plot is familiar to the urban cities of Viet Nam with a narrow width and long length. In Hoi An, there are a lots of old house with very light, airy and full of wind. The old houses here have a height appropriate for its area (usually 1-2 floors) so the natural light can lighten up the room and they always have atrium when it’s too long. Between these houses, people do not usually build it close and leave a gap (usually from 0.5 ~ 1m) for ventilation. That experience is very valuable for the constructions of row house in Vietnam.
