My name is John Madigan. I am a lifelong resident of Hoboken. I am married and the father of two sons. My youngest son attends Wallace School and oldest is a freshmen at Saint Peters Prep High. I have volunteered countless hours to help our children. Through my many years of volunteering, I know firsthand how Hoboken Public Schools students are amazingly unique. As parents we should praise our children's strengths and accomplishments and encourage them to reach their full potential. I believe that parents are the key to "Quality Education." I would encourage every parent to take an active and supportive role in his or her child's education. I encourage parents to support and work together with their child's teachers to ensure their child's success in education. One way that we can show our teachers that we stand behind them, and appreciate them. If I were fortunate enough to be elected to the Hoboken Board of Education, I would be extremely honored. I would work hard to ensure that each and every child is given the same opportunities. My main concern is to do what is best for our children. I will not let kid first cut programs for the children of the Hoboken School system, including Hoboken Charter Schools. So on Tuesday April 20, 2010 Vote 3A John Madigan
