Seapass Account Hold Charge

You may notice a temporary hold on the credit card your SeaPass card is linked to. The hold is used to secure funds for anticipated onboard purchases and will be released after the end of the sailing once your final charges are settled.

The credit limit for cash SeaPass cards is $300 USD. Once this limit is reached, the account will be deactivated. To reactivate, a cash deposit is needed or simply link a credit card on the Royal App.

Make a splash at the pool – but keep safety top of mind, too. Although lifeguards are on duty, adult supervision is still required for children ages 12 and under at all times on the pool deck.

Children in Diapers

Due to public health regulations, children in diapers, swim diapers, pull–ups, or who aren’t completely toilet trained are not allowed in the pools, whirlpools, or the H2O Zone. The Baby Splash area is designated for children in diapers.

Shore excursions have limited availability and sell out quickly. Guest favorites include Baha Bay Water Park at Baha Mar with Lunch, Two Stop Snorkeling Adventure, and Pearl Island Beach Escape. Book on the app or at the Shore Excursions Desk on Deck 5.

Assistive Listening System (ALS)

Guests may request and sign out Assistive Listening Systems (ALS) or Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) available at the Guest Services Desk.

Children’s Personal Flotation Devices (PFD)

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are for use onboard the Independence of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

Safety 1–2–3

In compliance with our Youth Evacuation Plan, children will be given colored wristbands that correspond with their muster stations. In the event of an emergency, Youth Staff will escort all children participating in Adventure Ocean activities to their muster stations for reunification with their parents/guardians.

Smoking

All Royal Caribbean ships are non–smoking (including e–cigarettes) except for designated areas in the Casino (for active players only while playing) and the open decks. Please be sure to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco.

Safe Disposal of Medical Needles

Do you use medical needles? Keep others safe by discarding them properly. Please see your stateroom attendant to request a sharps container.

ROYAL BABIES AND TOTS: 6 - 36 MONTHS*

This is home-away-from-home for our littlest adventurers. A space where adventure time, snack time and nap time all come together. Our goal is to keep our babies and toddlers happy — free to explore and make new friends.

*There is a service charge of $6 per hour per child before 6:00 pm and $8 per hour per child after 6:00 pm. We appreciate the notice if you decide to cancel your reservation. Contact us at 3095 or 558944.

AQUANAUTS: 3 - 5 YEAR OLDS

Whatever they’ve dreamt up today, the sky’s the limit for our Aquanauts. Here, pirate ships and space shuttles are way more than make believe, because storytelling sparks their imagination and that makes it real to them. Children have to be fully potty trained and diaper free to participate in this age group. Contact the Aquanauts at 3059.

EXPLORERS: 6 - 8 YEAR OLDS

For Explorers, there’s no end to activities that engage young imagination. Like science experiments, including Space Mud, Get Buggy and Germ Jungle, arts and crafts with Adventure Art and much more! Contact the Explorers at 3028.

VOYAGERS: 9 - 11 YEAR OLDS

The Voyagers group offers endless ways for kids ages 9 - 11 to play. They can stoke their competitive spirit at games, show off their creative skills with age-appropriate art and crafts and learn with science experiments, including Germ Jungle, Volcanoes and more! Contact the Voyagers at 3036.

FAMILY ACTIVITY FUN

If your family enjoys doing scavenger hunts, word search challenges or arts & crafts together, stop at Adventure Ocean, on deck 12 aft, to select a family activity of your choice from our list of fun!

MY FAMILY TIME DINING

Get the kids fed first so they can go play, while you enjoy savoring every last bite. Parents can meet the Adventure Ocean Staff outside the Dining Room on deck 4 from 6:30 pm - 6:40 pm sharp, so you can quickly return to your dining experience. This service will be offered every evening, except from boarding day (the first day of the cruise). Space is limited. See the Adventure Ocean Staff for more details.

TOY LENDING PROGRAM

Couldn’t fit all the toys you wanted for your little one? We have a collection of developmental toys suitable for children ages 6-36 months. Parents can borrow and exchange toys for new toys throughout the cruise. Be sure to check out our Toy Lending program in Royal Babies and Tots, deck 12 aft.

OPEN PLAY AREA

The Living Room on deck 12 aft, is an area where families can hangout together. Feel free to stop by to spend quality time with your family - all while having a blast. Kids must be supervised by parent/legal guardian at all times while in the Open Play Area.

DROP OFF & PICK-UP

We kindly ask that, whenever possible, only one parent/legal guardian pick-up or drop off the child(ren) each session. Whoever is dropping off or picking up must have their SeaPass card with them for safety and identification purposes.

SAFETY 1 - 2 - 3

Parents, please ensure that your child wears the wristband that was provided for them in their stateroom and they continue to wear it for the duration of the cruise.

CHILD SAFETY RATIOS

In compliance with safety regulations for the children within our program, Adventure Ocean operates on a first come first served basis until we reach our maximum capacity. We will do our best to accomodate your child as soon as we can.

BEHAVIOR POLICY

If a child behaves inappropriately, they will get a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, we’ll put them in an age-appropriate time-out. A third incident will result in dismissal from the program. We’ll notify parents right away the first time it happens so they can get involved.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Please note the designated pick-up time for each activity. Following a 15-minute grace period, you are subject to a late fee of $1 per child, per minute. If your shipboard activity runs late, not to worry — you will not be charged.

DIAPER POLICY

All children participating in Adventure Ocean activities must be at least 3 years old and be fully potty trained (with the exception of children in Royal Babies and Tots, Nursery).

SELF-SIGNERS

With parental consent, only 9 to 11 year olds have the opportunity to sign themselves in and out of the program while at sea. If your child is a self-signer, please make sure that they always carry their SeaPass® card with them for safety and identification purposes.

CURFEW

Adventurers under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian have a curfew of 1:00 am, unless they’re participating in programs hosted by Adventure Ocean or Teen Staff.

SPLASHIN’ SAFETY

Although there are lifeguards on duty at the pool deck, adult supervision is required for children 12 years and younger.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 USD will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 USD will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last morning of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial [7000] on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. The Maitre d' can also assist you with making changes to your seating.

Room Service

Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 USD plus an 18% gratuity for each order. To view the menu, visit the Royal App or browse on the TV in your stateroom. When you’re ready to order, dial [7000] from your stateroom phone.

GRATUITIES

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, an $18.50 USD gratuity ($21.00 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

With your SeaPass card, you can check out as many towels needed after each new adventure. Make sure to bring your towel back when you’re done! A $25 replacement fee will be charged to your SeaPass card for each unreturned towel.

Take Precautions Ashore

Be cautious and practice situational awareness when exploring new areas. If on a Shore Excursion, stick with your group. If traveling on your own, consider alternative routes and allow yourself extra travel time to and from the ship.

This is home-away-from-home for our littlest adventurers. A space where adventure time, snack time and nap time all come together. Our goal is to keep our babies and toddlers happy — free to explore and make new friends.

AQUANAUTS: 3 - 5 YEAR OLDS

Whatever they’ve dreamt up today, the sky’s the limit for our Aquanauts. Here, pirate ships and space shuttles are way more than make believe, because storytelling sparks their imagination and that makes it real to them. Children have to be fully potty trained and diaper free to participate in this age group. Contact the Aquanauts at 3059.

EXPLORERS: 6 - 8 YEAR OLDS

For Explorers, there’s no end to activities that engage young imagination. Like science experiments, including Space Mud, Get Buggy and Germ Jungle, arts and crafts with Adventure Art and much more! Contact the Explorers at 3028.

VOYAGERS: 9 - 11 YEAR OLDS

The Voyagers group offers endless ways for kids ages 9 - 11 to play. They can stoke their competitive spirit at games, show off their creative skills with age-appropriate art and crafts and learn with science experiments, including Germ Jungle, Volcanoes and more! Contact the Voyagers at 3036.

FAMILY ACTIVITY FUN

If your family enjoys doing scavenger hunts, word search challenges or arts & crafts together, stop at Adventure Ocean, on deck 12 aft, to select a family activity of your choice from our list of fun!

MY FAMILY TIME DINING

Get the kids fed first so they can go play, while you enjoy savoring every last bite. Parents can meet the Adventure Ocean Staff outside the Dining Room on deck 4 from 6:30 pm - 6:40 pm sharp, so you can quickly return to your dining experience. This service will be offered every evening, except from boarding day (the first day of the cruise). Space is limited. See the Adventure Ocean Staff for more details.

TOY LENDING PROGRAM

Couldn’t fit all the toys you wanted for your little one? We have a collection of developmental toys suitable for children ages 6-36 months. Parents can borrow and exchange toys for new toys throughout the cruise. Be sure to check out our Toy Lending program in Royal Babies and Tots, deck 12 aft.

OPEN PLAY AREA

The Living Room on deck 12 aft, is an area where families can hangout together. Feel free to stop by to spend quality time with your family - all while having a blast. Kids must be supervised by parent/legal guardian at all times while in the Open Play Area.

DROP OFF & PICK-UP

We kindly ask that, whenever possible, only one parent/legal guardian pick-up or drop off the child(ren) each session. Whoever is dropping off or picking up must have their SeaPass card with them for safety and identification purposes.

SAFETY 1 - 2 - 3

Parents, please ensure that your child wears the wristband that was provided for them in their stateroom and they continue to wear it for the duration of the cruise.

CHILD SAFETY RATIOS

In compliance with safety regulations for the children within our program, Adventure Ocean operates on a first come first served basis until we reach our maximum capacity. We will do our best to accomodate your child as soon as we can.

BEHAVIOR POLICY

If a child behaves inappropriately, they will get a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, we’ll put them in an age-appropriate time-out. A third incident will result in dismissal from the program. We’ll notify parents right away the first time it happens so they can get involved.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Please note the designated pick-up time for each activity. Following a 15-minute grace period, you are subject to a late fee of $1 per child, per minute. If your shipboard activity runs late, not to worry — you will not be charged.

DIAPER POLICY

All children participating in Adventure Ocean activities must be at least 3 years old and be fully potty trained (with the exception of children in Royal Babies and Tots, Nursery).

SELF-SIGNERS

With parental consent, only 9 to 11 year olds have the opportunity to sign themselves in and out of the program while at sea. If your child is a self-signer, please make sure that they always carry their SeaPass® card with them for safety and identification purposes.

CURFEW

Adventurers under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian have a curfew of 1:00 am, unless they’re participating in programs hosted by Adventure Ocean or Teen Staff.

SPLASHIN’ SAFETY

Although there are lifeguards on duty at the pool deck, adult supervision is required for children 12 years and younger.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal floatation devices are for use onboard the Independence of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 USD will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 USD will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last morning of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial [7000] on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 USD plus an 18% gratuity for each order. How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, an $18.50 USD gratuity ($21.00 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

ROYAL BABIES AND TOTS: 6 - 36 MONTHS*

This is home-away-from-home for our littlest adventurers. A space where adventure time, snack time and nap time all come together. Our goal is to keep our babies and toddlers happy — free to explore and make new friends.

*There is a service charge of $6 per hour per child before 6:00 pm and $8 per hour per child after 6:00 pm. We appreciate the notice if you decide to cancel your reservation. Contact us at 3095 or 558944.

AQUANAUTS: 3 - 5 YEAR OLDS

Whatever they’ve dreamt up today, the sky’s the limit for our Aquanauts. Here, pirate ships and space shuttles are way more than make believe, because storytelling sparks their imagination and that makes it real to them. Children have to be fully potty trained and diaper free to participate in this age group. Contact the Aquanauts at 3059.

EXPLORERS: 6 - 8 YEAR OLDS

For Explorers, there’s no end to activities that engage young imagination. Like science experiments, including Space Mud, Get Buggy and Germ Jungle, arts and crafts with Adventure Art and much more! Contact the Explorers at 3028.

VOYAGERS: 9 - 11 YEAR OLDS

The Voyagers group offers endless ways for kids ages 9 - 11 to play. They can stoke their competitive spirit at games, show off their creative skills with age-appropriate art and crafts and learn with science experiments, including Germ Jungle, Volcanoes and more! Contact the Voyagers at 3036.

FAMILY ACTIVITY FUN

If your family enjoys doing scavenger hunts, word search challenges or arts & crafts together, stop at Adventure Ocean, on deck 12 aft, to select a family activity of your choice from our list of fun!

MY FAMILY TIME DINING

Get the kids fed first so they can go play, while you enjoy savoring every last bite. Parents can meet the Adventure Ocean Staff outside the Dining Room on deck 4 from 6:30 pm - 6:40 pm sharp, so you can quickly return to your dining experience. This service will be offered every evening, except from boarding day (the first day of the cruise). Space is limited. See the Adventure Ocean Staff for more details.

TOY LENDING PROGRAM

Couldn’t fit all the toys you wanted for your little one? We have a collection of developmental toys suitable for children ages 6-36 months. Parents can borrow and exchange toys for new toys throughout the cruise. Be sure to check out our Toy Lending program in Royal Babies and Tots, deck 12 aft.

OPEN PLAY AREA

The Living Room on deck 12 aft, is an area where families can hangout together. Feel free to stop by to spend quality time with your family - all while having a blast. Kids must be supervised by parent/legal guardian at all times while in the Open Play Area.

DROP OFF & PICK-UP

We kindly ask that, whenever possible, only one parent/legal guardian pick-up or drop off the child(ren) each session. Whoever is dropping off or picking up must have their SeaPass card with them for safety and identification purposes.

SAFETY 1 - 2 - 3

Parents, please ensure that your child wears the wristband that was provided for them in their stateroom and they continue to wear it for the duration of the cruise.

CHILD SAFETY RATIOS

In compliance with safety regulations for the children within our program, Adventure Ocean operates on a first come first served basis until we reach our maximum capacity. We will do our best to accomodate your child as soon as we can.

BEHAVIOR POLICY

If a child behaves inappropriately, they will get a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, we’ll put them in an age-appropriate time-out. A third incident will result in dismissal from the program. We’ll notify parents right away the first time it happens so they can get involved.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Please note the designated pick-up time for each activity. Following a 15-minute grace period, you are subject to a late fee of $1 per child, per minute. If your shipboard activity runs late, not to worry — you will not be charged.

DIAPER POLICY

All children participating in Adventure Ocean activities must be at least 3 years old and be fully potty trained (with the exception of children in Royal Babies and Tots, Nursery).

SELF-SIGNERS

With parental consent, only 9 to 11 year olds have the opportunity to sign themselves in and out of the program while at sea. If your child is a self-signer, please make sure that they always carry their SeaPass® card with them for safety and identification purposes.

CURFEW

Adventurers under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian have a curfew of 1:00 am, unless they’re participating in programs hosted by Adventure Ocean or Teen Staff.

SPLASHIN’ SAFETY

Although there are lifeguards on duty at the pool deck, adult supervision is required for children 12 years and younger.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal floatation devices are for use onboard the Independence of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 USD will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 USD will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last morning of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 USD plus an 18% gratuity for each order. How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, an $18.50 USD gratuity ($21.00 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

Children in Diapers

Due to public health regulations, children in diapers, swim diapers, pull–ups, or who aren’t completely toilet trained are not allowed in the pools, whirlpools, or the H2O Zone. The Baby Splash area is designated for children in diapers.

Dry off and Drop Off

Don’t forget to return your pool towels back to the designated Towel Station when you’re done! A $25 replacement fee will be charged to your SeaPass card for each unreturned towel.

Need a Transfer to the Airport?

Book your transfers to the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale airports. Transfers to the Miami airport are $29 per person one way (the earliest flight departure is at Noon). Transfers to the Ft. Lauderdale airport are $39 per person one way (earliest flight departure is at 1:30 pm). Contact Guest Services on Deck 5 or by dialing “0”. The deadline to purchase transfers is Day 4 by 11:00 am.

Bar personnel may request verification age for service. The minimum drinking age onboard ships sailing from North America is 21 and 18 onboard ships sailing from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

ROYAL BABIES AND TOTS: 6 - 36 MONTHS*

This is home-away-from-home for our littlest adventurers. A space where adventure time, snack time and nap time all come together. Our goal is to keep our babies and toddlers happy — free to explore and make new friends.

*There is a service charge of $6 per hour per child before 6:00 pm and $8 per hour per child after 6:00 pm. We appreciate the notice if you decide to cancel your reservation. Contact us at 3095 or 558944.

AQUANAUTS: 3 - 5 YEAR OLDS

Whatever they’ve dreamt up today, the sky’s the limit for our Aquanauts. Here, pirate ships and space shuttles are way more than make believe, because storytelling sparks their imagination and that makes it real to them. Children have to be fully potty trained and diaper free to participate in this age group. Contact the Aquanauts at 3059.

EXPLORERS: 6 - 8 YEAR OLDS

For Explorers, there’s no end to activities that engage young imagination. Like science experiments, including Space Mud, Get Buggy and Germ Jungle, arts and crafts with Adventure Art and much more! Contact the Explorers at 3028.

VOYAGERS: 9 - 11 YEAR OLDS

The Voyagers group offers endless ways for kids ages 9 - 11 to play. They can stoke their competitive spirit at games, show off their creative skills with age-appropriate art and crafts and learn with science experiments, including Germ Jungle, Volcanoes and more! Contact the Voyagers at 3036.

FAMILY ACTIVITY FUN

If your family enjoys doing scavenger hunts, word search challenges or arts & crafts together, stop at Adventure Ocean, on deck 12 aft, to select a family activity of your choice from our list of fun!

MY FAMILY TIME DINING

Get the kids fed first so they can go play, while you enjoy savoring every last bite. Parents can meet the Adventure Ocean Staff outside the Dining Room on deck 4 from 6:30 pm - 6:40 pm sharp, so you can quickly return to your dining experience. This service will be offered every evening, except from boarding day (the first day of the cruise). Space is limited. See the Adventure Ocean Staff for more details.

TOY LENDING PROGRAM

Couldn’t fit all the toys you wanted for your little one? We have a collection of developmental toys suitable for children ages 6-36 months. Parents can borrow and exchange toys for new toys throughout the cruise. Be sure to check out our Toy Lending program in Royal Babies and Tots, deck 12 aft.

OPEN PLAY AREA

The Living Room on deck 12 aft, is an area where families can hangout together. Feel free to stop by to spend quality time with your family - all while having a blast. Kids must be supervised by parent/legal guardian at all times while in the Open Play Area.

DROP OFF & PICK-UP

We kindly ask that, whenever possible, only one parent/legal guardian pick-up or drop off the child(ren) each session. Whoever is dropping off or picking up must have their SeaPass card with them for safety and identification purposes.

SAFETY 1 - 2 - 3

Parents, please ensure that your child wears the wristband that was provided for them in their stateroom and they continue to wear it for the duration of the cruise.

CHILD SAFETY RATIOS

In compliance with safety regulations for the children within our program, Adventure Ocean operates on a first come first served basis until we reach our maximum capacity. We will do our best to accomodate your child as soon as we can.

BEHAVIOR POLICY

If a child behaves inappropriately, they will get a verbal warning. If the behavior continues, we’ll put them in an age-appropriate time-out. A third incident will result in dismissal from the program. We’ll notify parents right away the first time it happens so they can get involved.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Please note the designated pick-up time for each activity. Following a 15-minute grace period, you are subject to a late fee of $1 per child, per minute. If your shipboard activity runs late, not to worry — you will not be charged.

DIAPER POLICY

All children participating in Adventure Ocean activities must be at least 3 years old and be fully potty trained (with the exception of children in Royal Babies and Tots, Nursery).

SELF-SIGNERS

With parental consent, only 9 to 11 year olds have the opportunity to sign themselves in and out of the program while at sea. If your child is a self-signer, please make sure that they always carry their SeaPass® card with them for safety and identification purposes.

CURFEW

Adventurers under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian have a curfew of 1:00 am, unless they’re participating in programs hosted by Adventure Ocean or Teen Staff.

SPLASHIN’ SAFETY

Although there are lifeguards on duty at the pool deck, adult supervision is required for children 12 years and younger.

CHILDREN’S PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal floatation devices are for use onboard the Independence of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 USD will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 USD will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last morning of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial [7000] on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. The Maitre d' can also assist you with making changes to your seating.

Room Service

Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 USD plus an 18% gratuity for each order. To view the menu, visit the Royal App or browse on the TV in your stateroom. When you’re ready to order, dial [7000] from your stateroom phone.

GRATUITIES

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, an $18.50 USD gratuity ($21.00 USD for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.
