Iceland Immigration and Border Protection will be onboard for mandatory face-to-face guest immigration. Guests will have the opportunity to complete immigration. All guests are welcome as walk-ins without an appointment on Friday, September 1st from 8:00 am to noon and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Conference Center located on Deck 5, behind the Photo Gallery. We will begin our operation today with open tendering. If the lines on the gangway become too long we may begin to distribute tender tickets. Announcements will be made if and when tender tickets are neccessary. Getting around in Isafjordur, Iceland (Tendering)

The ship’s tenders will leave you in the port of Isafjordur, which is located within a natural harbor in the Westfjords region. Given the size of the town everything is within walking distance and close by, city center and small shopping area is located 15 minutes from the pier where you’ll find the Old Town center and the Maritime Museum. Due to the close location to the town, there is no local transportation available on the pier. The króna, (kr, ISK) is the currency of Iceland. There is no tourist information booth in the terminal.

Motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be taken via tender boats to the pier. Smoking is not permitted.

Getting around in Qaqortoq, Greenland (Tendering)

The ship’s tenders will leave you in the port of Qaqortoq. As an autonomous country within the Kingdom of Denmark, Greenland uses the Danish Kroner (DKK) as its currency. Credit cards accepted at many places but bringing Danish Kroners is recommended. The heart of the village is within walking distance and is approximately a 10 min walk from the pier, providing an ideal opportunity to stroll through the colonial-era buildings, take a photo tour, visit museums and restaurants, and observe the views with just a short walk up the surrounding hills. There will be limited transportation on the pier. There is no tourist information booth in the terminal.

Motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be taken via tender boats to the pier. Smoking is not permitted.

Getting around in St. John’s, Newfoundland

The cruise port terminal is located within easy walking distance from downtown Saint John’s. Cruise ships dock at Pier 10 and Pier 11, within 0,6 of a mile and within walking distance to downtown Saint John’s. In the downtown area you can find historic churches, art galleries, museums, restaurants, souvenir shops and co fee shops. Water Street is the main shopping street. Local transport & taxis are available in the city which can allow you to reach points further from the center. The sightseeing minibus service St. John’s Hop on Hop o f is o fered during the summer season and connects all of St. John’s main activities. The Currency used in Newfoundland is the (CAD) Canadian Dollar and credit cards are also accepted in some of the restaurants and shops.

Getting around in Halifax, Nova Scotia

The ship is docked at Pavilion 22 which is connected to the terminal building via a hydraulic gangway and located in 1215 Marginal Rd. Uber and Taxis are available in front of the port and cards or cash are widely accepted. Hop On Hop O f buses are also available. Distance to downtown is less than 1 km. In the vicinity of the port, you can find the Farmer’s Market, the Garrison brewery and the Pier 21 Museum. In the waterfront area, located directly to the left of the terminal, you will be able to find some restaurants and street food. Currency used in Nova Scotia is the (CAD) Canadian Dollar and credit cards are widely accepted in the restaurants and shops. Tourist and visitor information are available in the terminal building.

The ship docks in Liberty Pier. The small downtown area is 0,6 of a mile to the south along Esplanada St. To get into town and all the main sights, just walk when leaving the ship and follow the pleasant walk along the waterfront or Esplanade just behind. The easiest way to the main street of Charlotte Street is on the left on Dorchester Street. There are small shops and restaurants downtown on Charlotte St and by the terminal. There is a small mall, the Sydney Shopping Centre, on the east end of Princes St and a supermarket. Uber and Taxis are available in front of the port and cards or cash are accepted. The Currency used in Nova Scotia is the (CAD) Canadian Dollar and credit cards are also accepted in some of the restaurants and shops. All Royal Caribbean ships are non–smoking (including e–cigarettes) except for designated areas in the Casino (for active players only while playing) and the open decks. Please be sure to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco.

ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

Specialty Dining Reservations

Specialty Dining reservations can be made through the Royal Caribbean App. You may also dial 54 on your stateroom phone and select the restaurant you wish to dine in or visit the restaurant and make a reservation with the Maitre d' outside. The Maitre d' can also assist you with making changes to your seating.

Room Service

Continental breakfast is complimentary. Both the All-Day Menu and American Breakfast will have a delivery fee of $7.95 plus an 18% gratuity for each order. To view the menu, visit the Royal App. When you’re ready to order, dial [7000] from your stateroom phone.

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $16.00 gratuity ($18.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.
