ONBOARD EXPENSE ACCOUNT

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

How to get Ashore in Adelaide, South Australia

Ovation of the Seas is docked at Outer Harbour, berth 2 which is near to the local town of Port Adelaide. There are several locations around the local area with events and attractions, please see the are local guides in the terminal who will provide information on how to get there. The city center of Adelaide is about 19 km from the terminal. Local taxis and Uber are available at the port.

The best way to get to the city center is by train from the nearby Outer Harbour Train Station. The trains are approximately a 40 minute ride. Tickets cost approximately $6-7 AUD per person. The trains run every 30 minutes. Please allow yourselves enough time to return to the ship for all aboard time.

Tips for an Easy Departure

Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 7 on your stateroom television for a video overview of this process.

• Staterooms must be fully vacated no later than 8:00 am. After you’ve enjoyed breakfast, please head to your designated departure lounge until your departure number is announced or displayed on the ship’s digital screens.

• To avoid the large crowds and the long wait times, take advantage of our Self-Assist program (see details below) or our airport transfer services. If your flight departs after Noon, Royal Caribbean transfers will be available at the terminal to get you to the airport right on time. Book yours today w ith Guest Services by Noon the day before departure.

• Every guest will be processed in the terminal by Australian Border Force. Please insure you have your travel documents ready, and one fully completed incoming Passenger Card per person.

• Australian financial regulations prohibit us to engage in foreign currency cash transactions (including Australian dollars) in Australian waters and while docked in Australian ports. Therefore, we kindly request all guests on cash accounts to please, settle their account or place a credit card on file no later than 10:00 pm, the night prior to arrival into Sydney Harbor.

Self-Assist Departure

Avoid the wait by keeping all your luggage with you as you depart the ship. Assigned departure times begin at approximately 6:45 am and end at 7:45 am.

Note: This option is not available for guests requiring wheelchair assistance, Royal Caribbean airport transfers or shore exc ursions.

Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• You are free to depart as soon as the Self-Assist Departure announcement has been made.

Getting Off the Ship

• Tune to channel 2 on your stateroom television for the assigned departure times

• Once the Self-Assist announcement, proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 with all your luggage.

• Please be advised that taxis are very limited, especially after 8:00 am. We strongly encourage you to use train service from Circular Quay Station which is short walking distance from the terminal.

Regular Departure

Take advantage of our luggage assistance provided on the night before departure. Assigned departure times begin at 7:30 am and end at 9:30 am approximately.

Please be advised that there is no waiting or seating area at the terminal, and it is very important to please wait for your Group number to be called. Night Before

• If you are not choosing Self-Assist Departure, leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.

• Keep travel documents, valuables, and essential medications with you.

• Note: Guests requiring wheelchair assistance on Royal Caribbean airport transfers and shore excursions are required to check their bags the night before. Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you by the end of your cruise vacation.

• Head to your designated departure lounge and proceed to the gangway once your departure time is called. Getting Off the Ship

• Once your departure number is called, proceed from your departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 using the elevators nearest to you.

• If you are on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion, please refer to your tour ticket for meeting point and time details. You may collect your bags at the terminal.

• If you are taking independent transportation, claim your baggage at the area identified by the number on your luggage tag at the terminal, then proceed to your transportation.

• If you require wheelchair assistance, please meet at Jamie’s Italian, Deck 5, 30 minutes before your assigned departure time. Wheelchair assistance starts at 7:45 am and you must check your luggage.

How do I close out my tab?

The credit card you provided at check-in will be automatically charged. You can also add additional gratuities to your SeaPass at Guest Services or leave cash.

Important Things to Know

• Pinnacle and Sky Guests departing after 7:15 am are invited to your private departure lounge located in Wonderland, Deck 5.

• Consecutive Cruisers, please refer to the letter in your stateroom for your meeting place and time.

• Collect any confiscated items at the exit of debark hall

• Liquor Delivery – All confiscated alcohol will be delivered to your stateroom the last day of the cruise between 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

• Don't forget to collect your pre- paid photos before departing the ship, Focus Photo Gallery on deck 5 from 7:00 am to 8:00 am.

Customs Allowance

• Purchase up to AUD 900 per person; 25 grams or sticks of tobacco, 2.25 Ltrs of Alcohol, must be 18 or older.

• One Australian Incoming Passenger Card per person must be completed in full.
