FRI 14 - SUN 16 JUNE - PERTH HOCKEY STADIUM AT CURTIN UNIVERSITY

The annual event sees teams hit the Olympic standard turf at Perth Hockey Stadium in a three-day festival of hockey, highlighting the best of the best in regional hockey in WA.

The strong community spirit within regional hockey is set to be showcased as thousands of players, officials, coaches, and spectators take part in the longstanding WA hockey tradition.

This year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever after 77 teams from WA’s regions competed in 2023.

The CBH Group Country Championships will also provide an opportunity for the finest regional hockey players to be selected to represent the state at the 2024 Hockey Australia Country Championships, taking place in Goulburn, NSW in August.

Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said he was looking forward to seeing one of Hockey Was biggest events of the year return.

“We are thrilled to have the CBH Group Country Championships return for another year,” he said.

“Over the years, the event has highlighted just how special our regional hockey community is, with top-level hockey, and plenty of community spirit and comradery consistently on display.

“We’d like to thank CBH Group for their ongoing support of the competition and their amazing contribution to regional hockey across the State.”

CBH Group Chief Stakeholder Relations, Sustainability and Strategy Officer Brianna Peake said the co-operative is proud to again be part of the opportunity to bring regional hockey players together to represent their region.

“It is a fantastic opportunity for hockey players at all levels, ranging from grassroots to masters, to compete and it is inspiring to see the dedication and enthusiasm of the players, coaches and volunteers involved,” she said.

“We eagerly anticipate the high calibre of hockey over both weekends and extend our best wishes to all the teams competing.”

The CBH Group Country Championships will kick off with the Women’s competition taking place from Friday 14 June to Sunday 16 June, followed by the Men’s competition taking place from Friday 21 June to Sunday 23 June.

The final days of both the Women's and Men's tournaments will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on Streamer.
