Join us for a Podcasting Masterclass featuring Peabody Award-winning host CHENJERAI KUMANYIKA as he delves into the critically acclaimed series, Empire City: The Untold Origin Story of the NYPD. A 2024 Tribeca Film Festival selection, Empire City has been recognized as one of the Best Podcasts of 2024 by The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and TIME Magazine.

The discussion, led by Assistant Professor Diane Hodson, Coordinator of Hofstra’s Podcasting and Audio Storytelling program, will also feature insights from public historian Asad Dandia and Hofstra Professor Alan Singer. The conversation will be followed by a Q&A session.
