John Cranford Adams Playhouse, South Campus Join Hofstra’s Department of Music and friends for a ride on the Underground Railroad. This musical journey, hosted by composer and Hofstra Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Nkeiru Okoye, features contemporary and familiar music about the Underground Railroad. Highlights include performances by the Hofstra University Chamber Choir, members of the Hofstra Symphony Orchestra, the Hempstead High School Select Chorale, soprano Diana Solomon-Glover, contralto Nichole Mitchell, tenor Robert Anthony Mack, and pianist Roy Eaton (the definitive master of Scott Joplin’s ragtime works).
