Sophie - Ski Specialist & Group Host

Paula - Operations Manager

Sally - Ski Specialist & Group Host

Sophie is with Ski Express Queenstown year round and multitasks as a reservation guru and group snowboard guide. She is from Australia and moved to live in New Zealand after having an ‘incredibly awesome’ snow trip to Queenstown. A keen snowboarder, she has instructed in Australia, USA and Canada and loves hosting and guiding the Snow Squad group tours.

Paula manages the New Zealand team and has been with Ski Express in Queenstown for 23 winters! Her local knowledge and warm hospitality is legendary in Queenstown. Paula is fluent in French and English and is passionate about skiing having instructed skiing and worked in ski resorts in the USA, France, Austria and Italy. With her extensive skiing background, she can ski with the best of the best.

Sally is the main host of the Snow Squad group tours in Queenstown and welcomes tour guests like they are long lost friends. Sally has a passion for snowboarding and has spent recent winters riding in the Italian Alps. Sally is an adventurer and has tried all the popular Queenstown activities, restaurant and bars, so ask her advice to get the most from your Queenstown experience.

Linda - Ski Specialist

Cushla has skied extensively in New Zealand and has great knowledge of the Queenstown and Wanaka mountains including cross country skiing at Snow Farm (Wanaka). Being from the North Island Cushla has also skied at Turoa and Whakapapa.

Linda has worked at a number of the New Zealand ski fields and first learnt to ski at Mt Ruapehu on the North island. Linda has skied at Cardrona, Coronet Peak and the Remarkables and her favourite ski resort is Cardrona. She loves Cardronas great atmosphere and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Lucy - Ski Specialist

Kylie is a South Island ski expert having visited Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardona, Treble Cone and Mt Hutt. An enthusiastic skier her next trip is planned for Whakapapa and Turoa in the North Island and Roundhill in the South Island.

Sarah is originally from the North Island where she learnt to ski at Whakapapa, Turoa and Tukino ski fields. On her last ski trip to New Zealand she went snowboarding at Cardrona and she is looking forward to heading down to New Zealand this year to experience the other ski fields.

Lucy is the newest member of the Ski Express Team. A ski and snowboard expert she grew up in the ski resort of Methven (Mt Hutt). Lucy has skied extensively through the South Island at The Remarkables, Coronet Peak, Treble Cone, Cardrona, Mt Cheesman, Porters and Temple Basin. Her favourite ski resort is of course Mt Hutt.

Hit plenty of peaks on the snow & after dark with a group of fellow snow lovers - the Ski Express Snow Squad! Bring your mates or just yourself. This trip is the perfect mix of snow & party time!

Day 2: Monday - Ski Coronet Peak Snow Time! It is now your chance to show the rest of the Squad what you are made of! Your Ski Express Host will be with you along the way to help get you sorted. No dinner planned tonight. If you need more carbs then look no further than Fergburger! Day 3: Tuesday - Ski Cardrona Oh sweet Cardies here we come! Hope you didn’t peak on the first day! Simple answers to your questions How well do I have to ski to go Heli-skiing? Ideally you are a strong intermediate skier/boarder or better, with a sense of adventure. What do I need to bring? You will need to bring your skis/board or hire equipment & warm clothing - a windproof jacket and pants, warm gloves, sunglasses or goggles and sunscreen. The day is spectacular, so bring a camera to capture your heli-ski day. When stopping, try to move to the side of the trail and where you can be seen from above. 6. DON’T LOSE WHAT YOU USE. Equipment must be secured while walking or stashing. Breaks or leashes must be used. 7. STAY ON SCENE. If you are involved in, or witness, an accident, remain at the scene and identify yourself to Ski Patrol. 8. RESPECT GETS RESPECT. All details in this brochure reflect information available to Australia New Zealand Central Reservations Office Ltd (herein after referred to as ANZCRO) at the time of printing (Jan 2014). ANZCRO reserves the right to amend any details without notice. Ask your Travel Agent to confirm details at the time of booking.

ANZCRO strongly recommends that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy at the time of booking. Your Travel Agent will be able to advise and assist you with this. Deposits $110 per person is required within 10 days of your holiday confirmation. Some activities/products have their own strict deposit regulations, which you will be made aware of at the time of booking. Failure to pay the deposit may result in your travel arrangements being cancelled.

Payments Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of intended travel are to be paid in full immediately upon confirmation. Certain special airfares may require payment immediately upon booking. In the event that ANZCRO agrees to the acceptance of Credit Card payments, they will be made available through special arrangement with the Travel Agent and ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a fee to the Credit Card Holder for this service.

Bonus Offers

Snow Season

Late Bookings ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a late booking fee of $33 to cover additional costs associated with bookings made within 10 days of travel.

Amendments First time amendment is FREE. All additional amendments are liable to a maximum charge of $33 per amendment. Once Travel Documents have been issued, all amendments will be charged. Airline tickets have additional amendment charges. Please ask your Travel Agent. Note: If amendments are made, pricing for the full item will reflect the exchange rate valid at the time of the amendment.

Refunds • Unused Car / Motorhome hire – NIL • Unused Accommodation/Service vouchers refunded at the sole discretion of ANZCRO. Product and service providers are unable to authorize any refund on ANZCRO’s behalf.

Snow & ski conditions are entirely subject to natural weather conditions. ANZCRO does not take responsibility for snow & ski quality. Generally in New Zealand the ski season operates from mid June to the end of September, however this could vary for each ski area & season. ANZCRO takes no responsibility for the start & finish dates for skiing at any New Zealand ski fields.

Pricing All prices in this brochure are expressed in Australian dollars and include New Zealand Goods & Services Tax. ANZCRO reserves the right to amend without notice, any prices in this brochure. We refer particularly but are not limited to amendments due to currency exchange fluctuations, the withdrawal or adjustment of contracted rates with land & service providers, New Zealand or Australian Government charges & printing errors. Rates in this brochure reflect information available to ANZCRO at the time of printing (Jan 2014) & all possible care has been taken in its compilation. A valid Passport is required by all travellers to New Zealand. Those not travelling on an Australian Passport may require a Visa. This is the travellers responsibility. Air Tickets and Travel Vouchers will be issued after full payment has been received by ANZCRO. Documents will be forwarded to the Travel Agent by standard mail. If Express Post or a Courier is required, a fee will be charged at ANZCRO’s discretion.
