Chapter Fifty

To anyone who has ever had an illness that felt And to the PSL girlies: never be ashamed

AUTHOR’S NOTE

I started writing this book with only two things in mind: love and autumn.

But as I wrote, Whit’s story took on a life of its own, and I began to share what life is like with PCOS a syndrome I was diagnosed with when I was sixteen years old.

As you pick up this book, I want to tell you that I’ve done my best to cover all topics with as much kindness, empathy, and tenderness as possible, but you may wish to know that this story deals with fatphobia, diet culture, bias within the medical community, autism, socioeconomic status, parental abandonment, loss, and grief.

Take care of yourself.
