Our design team shares decades of experience creating completely custom designs based on our client’s vision, and was tasked with updating the original floral & plaid rug design for today’s client.

The above photos illustrate the custom design process:

1. Creating a series of initial quick sketches to explore different design approaches,

2. Pulling the color poms and developing the color direction from the client’s color story,

3. Developing the most successful design approach with further detail, in this case a richly detailed floral border on a plaid ground translated to resemble an architectural trellis,

4. Creating a color CAD to visualize all the elements together before proceeding with sampling.
