Welcome to the Business Cinema™Production Planner. The only planner you’ll ever need to create videos you love and are proud to show off. This planner is designed with Business Cinema™ in mind, great but what the hell is that? Business Cinema™ is video with a plan, a purpose, a system and a strategy. Not just creating videos all willy-nilly, but actually creating videos that help propel your business forward. Business Cinema™ is all about creating videos that established connections, build trust and end in lifelong customers. To do that you need to have a plan, a purpose, a system and a strategy. I broke the planner down into stages and sections before I get into those stages and sections I want to talk to you a little bit about the video production process I use when creating Business Cinema™ it’s heavy on PreProduction. Meaning you will spend 60 - 65% of your time planning your videos then the remaining 35 - 40% is divided between Production (the filming of your videos) and Post Production (the editing of your videos). The first and most important step before you ever even hit record for any of your videos is to understand the four pillars of Pre-Production which are why, who, what and how. These Four Pillars will set you up for video success without them you have no base, you have no foundation, you have no direction and you have no M.A.P. (Massive Action Plan). Seriously stop making videos right now if you haven’t done this yet. Let’s breakdown each of the Four Pillars of Pre-Production in a little more detail: • Why - Why do you want to create videos for your business? How does video fit into your overall biz goals and profit plan? What are your video goals? Video can be time-consuming, and if you don’t know where or why you want to go there, then you will be going around in circles just wasting your time. • Who - Who are you creating this content for? Who is going to be watching your videos? You have to know and understand who your audience is so that you’re able to create content that resonates with them. If you say everybody what you really mean is nobody. Be specific. Be selective. • What - What type of content are you going to create? Now that you know why you’re creating your videos and you know who you’re creating your videos for, you have to create the content your audience wants to see, and that fits into your overall video goals. You also want to make sure you’re creating content that is delivering value. • How - How are you going to get it all done. You need to think about the logistics. If you know why, who and what, but not how you will never be able to succeed on your video journey. You will just get stuck at procrastination station. • What’s your skill level? Do you have all the skills necessary to create videos that you love or do you need to invest in yourself to uplevel your skills or invest in a few team members to help you in areas you are weak or don’t want to take on? • What’s your budget? If you are going to be investing in yourself or outsourcing or investing in new equipment you want to make sure you know what your budget is. • What’s your time budget? How much time do you have to spend on each video, weekly, monthly? • What equipment fo you have, need, can borrow, rent or buy? I’ve included a section for you to flesh out all the details of your four pillars. You can find examples and more details inside the virtual walk-through experience.

Inside you will also find the following to help you plan out all of your Business Cinema™. • 2018 / 2019 Calendars - Just wanted to give you an overview of not only the next two years, but also when the holidays fall during each year. Use these to help you on your Annual Vision as well as your Future Planning. • Annual Vision - This is a section to help you get clear on where you will focus each month. Fill in what products, services, offers and opt-ins you will be releasing, launching or promoting in the relevant month. This will help you reverse engineer your content so you are always focused on what’s important. I also use this section to track revenue and social growth goals. Please feel free to make not only this section, but the entire planner your own. I also use this section to track revenue, feel free to make this your own. • Stat Tracker - Use this section to keep track of your stats from month to month so you can track your growth based on the actions you are taking. • Video Tracker - Track the progress of your videos. At a glance you can easily see and track which stage each of your videos are in (see stages below). • Big List of Ideas - You are bound to be struck with inspiration and brilliant ideas throughout the month. You can keep track of all of those gems right here. • Monthly Calendar - I left this open so you can fill in the month and the dates when you want to start using your Business Cinema™ Production Planner. Use this section to keep track of shoot dates, video live dates and other dates that are important to your business and your video goals. Also use the area on the bottom to remind you what your area of focus is for this month. This way you can make sure the videos you are creating are on track with your annual vision. • Monthly Planner - Use this section to easily see your video plans laid out for the month. • Trends / Topical / Themes - Use this are to keep track of trends in your industry during this month. Things that are happening topically. Also, any specific themes that are related to your biz, industry, general holidays or special events. • Area of Focus - write down everything you are focusing on this month. This will help you reverse engineer your content and create content that aligns with your focus. • Monthly Calendar - It’s blank so you can fill in based on the current year. • Monthly Video List - List of release dates and optimized titles for each of the video you released during the month. • Video Notes - This an open area where you can keep track of notes or anything you’d like related to your production calendar. Stages for the Video Tracker • Stage 1 - Script has been written, Storyboarded and you’ve researched the Video Optimization. • Stage 2 - Video Production - Video has been recorded • Stage 3 - Post Production - Video has been edited • Stage 4 - Upload Optimization - Video has been optimized and uploaded to YouTube. • Stage 5 - Video Promition - You’ve promoted, created social graphics and scheduled your video promotion.

• Write Your Script / Storyboard - Use this section to jot down your main bullet points and storyboard your videos. I’ve provided the script formula I use which is Thriller, Filler, Spiller. I go into much more detail and break it all down inside the walk-through experience. • Video Optimization - This section is all about researching and prepping your meta-data. YouTube is the second largest search engine so it’s really important that you optimize all of your videos to make sure they are able to rank in search results. • Video Production - I highly recommend and I’ve laid out the Business Cinema™ Production Planner to make it easy for you to batch your content. Plan, research and prep a month’s worth of videos so they can be recorded all at the same time. • Production Checklist - Don’t miss a beat when it comes time to record. I’ve added a checklist to help you avoid making some of the most common mistakes and make sure you are fully prepared to record the best takes ever! • Video Files / Notes - Use the following sections to track each video. Write down any relevant notes and file numbers so when you get to Post Production you have everything nice and organized. Including making sure you have the perfect still image for your custom thumbnail. (You’ll thank me when you don’t have to stage this later.) • Lessons Learned - There isn’t a shoot that goes by that I don’t glean a new piece of information. Whether it’s something that went great and I want to make sure I do it again or something that went terribly wrong and I want to make sure I avoid making the same mistake twice. Which is exactly why I’ve included this section to make it easy to track what went right and what went wrong. • Post Production - I usually go one of two routes when editing my videos. Since I have recorded all the videos on the same day. I have all the footage available to edit whenever I’d like. Sometimes I edit them all at once and prep them for YouTube. Other times I will edit them one at a time. Whichever way you choose, this section will help you cross all your t’s and dot all your i’s. • Organization - It’s important to keep track of your files and keep everything organized. Preferably on an external hard drive. I recommend and personally use Lacie harddrives. • Editing - Everything included is not going to be relevant to every video you create, but I wanted to include it all in case you need it and you may want to add in your own steps. • Upload Prep - Before you upload your videos you will need a custom thumbnail, which will be easy for you to create since you have already decided way back during Pre-Production what you want your thumbnails to look like. • Lessons Learned - Use this area to track any lessons learned along the way. Whether it’s something that went great and I want to make sure I do it again or something that went terribly wrong and I want to make sure I avoid making the same mistake twice. Which is exactly why I’ve included this section to make it easy to track what went right and what went wrong.

• Upload Optimization - I’ve included this as a checklist to be used in conjunction with the Video Optimization notes you made during Pre-Production. Use this when you are ready to upload your videos to YouTube. • Upload - Depending on when you upload your video and how you are using it, you will choose one of these three options. • Public - Most of the time you will be uploading your video to go public. • Schedule - If your video is ready to go before the actual publish date then you can totally get ahead of the game by uploading and scheduling your video to go live on a specific date. • Unlisted - You may sometimes want to upload a video as unlisted. I don’t recommend using this for videos that will eventually be live on your channel. I recommend scheduling your video to go public on that date instead. • Meta-Data Optimization / Info and Settings - Now is the time to take all the information you planned ahead of time on your Video Optimization sheet and enter it into YouTube. This is how you will be optimizing your video so it is more likely to be found in search results. • Cards - There are a bunch of options available choose which is going to work best for each video. • End Screens - There are a bunch of options and different combinations you can use so you can choose which is going to work best for each video. • Lessons Learned - A.B.L. - Always be learning. I still learn new things about YouTube and ways to tweak how I am optimizing my videos. Things are always evolving so it’s nice to be able to have a place to keep track of any lessons learned so they can be applied towards future videos. • Promotion - So this may seem like a no brainer, but it’s easy to skip this step, but don’t skip it. It’s like hitting a homerun and only running to third base. You’d think that person was crazy right? You’ve spent all this time planning, prepping, shooting, editing, uploading and optimizing so don’t waste it. Take the time to also properly promote your video so your audience and others know it is there. These promotion options are not set in stone you don’t have to use them all or you can add more. These are my suggestions to you. You may feel free to adjust and add your own as you see fit. Test different things and see what works for you. • Blog - Embed your YouTube video on your blog so you can benefit from your own SEO. • Social Sharing Graphics - create unique and interesting graphics for each social platform you want to promote on. These could be images, video clips, audio wave videos or whatever you choose. The key here is to respect each platform for what it’s intended use is. Keep in mind why your audience member may be on that platform and make graphics that make sense for where and how you will be using it. • Social Schedules - These are guidelines for promotion. • Lessons Learned - Again track what’s working and what’s not working over time so you can get a better understanding of your promotional efforts and fine tune everything as you go. This is going to save time and help you gain traction in the long run.

I’ve spent my life preparing to create this planner for you. I’ve always been in love with planning and planners. I can remember as a kid loving back to school shopping it was my favorite time of the year because that meant new school supplies pens, notebooks, markers, binders, and planners - oh my. Ok I admit it I was a bit of a nerd, but I’m cool with that. I still to this day love the office supply store. There is a little nerd inside of me that gets excited everytime I walk in and loves to walk down each isle looking at all the supplies. This also happens at the book store and library too. Planning, organizing and creating systems come naturally to me. It’s something I have always enjoyed, and I’m really good at it. Throw in seven plus years of Video Production experience, fivev years of running my own online video based business and you have this planner. So you see this planner has been a lifetime in the making. I want you to get the most out of this planner and walk-through experience. I always say I succeed when you succeed, and I like to succeed. Which is why I created the virtual walk-through experience to walk you through all the steps necessary to create video with a plan, a purpose, a system and a strategy. So you are able to use this planner to it’s fullest ability. Please feel free to make this planner your own in fact I’d love to see how ou are using this planner. tag @hollygstudios in your social shares so I can check it out. This is a living breathing thing. Video is constantly changing, effective wasy to makret are constantly changing and I want to make sure you always have the latest and greatest way to plan for your videos. Plus how you use this planner is importnant to me I’ve added a quick survey at the end of every section inside the walk-through experience. Your feedback, comments and suggestions will also shape future iterations of this planner. At the end of the day you can have videos or you can have excuses, but you can’t have both. Which will you choose? I can’t wait to see all of your amazing videos. Remember you are someone’s reason to smile, so don’t give up. Cheers,

Holly Gillen PS If you want more support, training and accountability with all of your video needs make sure to check out the Business Cinema Academy. This is a community for people who understand the calue of video and the power of a community. https://www.hollygstudios.com/p/bca

WHO - WHO ARE YOU CREATING THIS CONTENT FOR? KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE.

WHAT - WHAT TYPE OF CONTENT WILL YOU BE CREATING? WHAT DOES YOUR AUDIENCE WANT TO WATCH?

HOW - WHAT IS YOUR SKILL LEVEL, BUDGET (BOTH FINANCIAL AND TIME WISE), TIME FRAME? WHAT ARE YOU AVAILABLE RESOURCES? WILL YOU BE OUTSOURCING ANYTHING?
