ITINERARY

SUNDAY

Morning departure making a lunchtime stop in the Yorkshire Market Town of Knaresborough. We then continue to Sunderland and the Hilton Garden Inn.

Here we arrive to include four nights with Dinner and English Breakfast.

MONDAY

A leisurely Breakfast before we depart to the Magnificent Alnwick Castle and Gardens. We have arranged a Tour of the State Rooms but you will also recognise the settings for ‘Hogwarts’ in the first two Harry Potter Films and as Brancaster Castle in the Downton Abbey Christmas Specials. A Brilliant day out!

We return to our Hotel to relax over Dinner.

TUESDAY

This morning we travel to the fascinating Seaside Resort of Whitby. Explore the Ancient Narrow Streets, the Bustling Harbour and see the striking ruins of Whitby Abbey. With connections to Captain Cook, Count Dracula and many scenes from TV’s Heartbeat – You will soon discover why this North Yorkshire destination is so unique.

Dinner once again at our Hotel.

WEDNESDAY

After Breakfast, our double destination takes us firstly to the Award Winning Beamish Museum, with its story of life in the North East and then to the Historic City of Durham with its famous Cathedral and Castle.

A memorable day out with something for everyone. This evening our final Dinner at the Garden Inn.

THURSDAY

Full English Breakfast and then our comfortable journey back to the West Midlands.
