BURT WARD

Burt Ward had all the makings of a true boy wonder: At the age of two, he was the youngest professional ice skater in the world and was featured in "Strange As It Seems," a predecessor to the Ripley's "Believe It Or Not" and to "The Guinness Book Of World Records.” With the help of his father, a prominent real estate broker in Beverly Hills, CA, Burt became one of the youngest real estate agents in California, and met producer, Saul David, who arranged for him to sign with a Hollywood agent. His first interview was set up at 20th Century Fox Studios, and a few weeks later, Burt was called back for a screen test with Adam West. It wasn’t until six weeks after the screen test that Burt learned that he had won the coveted role of Robin, the Boy Wonder in the new “Batman” TV series for ABC-TV. Executive Producer, William Dozier, told Burt that he was chosen out of more than 1,100 other young actors trying out for the role of Robin because the producers believed that "If there really was a real 'Robin, The Boy Wonder,' then Burt would be it," so they requested him to "just be himself and be enthusiastic." As a result, all of the mannerisms you see Robin doing like punching his fist into his palm, jumping over the door in and out of the Batmobile, and all the unique Robin traits of the character that were not scripted, were created by Burt himself as his contribution to the legendary role of the Robin character. He was everything they wanted. All he had to do was just be himself. And Batman was an overnight sensation! The ratings soared and audiences fell in love the dynamic duo of West and Ward. In fact, Burt Ward and Adam West continued to do movies, TV shows and appearances, individually and together, until Adam's death. They had a lifetime of more than 50 years of friendship working together and have even been submitted to the Guinness Book of World records in 2017 as the only two actors who have worked together for more than 50 years. Outside of his time as a “Caped Crusader”, Burt and his wife Tracy have made names for themselves as “Canine Crusaders” in founding Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions. Located 50 miles east of Los Angeles in Norco, CA, Gentle Giants is a non-profit charity created by Burt and Tracy. The charity has rescued and adopted more than 15,500 giant, medium, and small breed dogs, along with unique combinations, during their 23 years of operation. He was everything they wanted. All he had to do was just be himself.

SIR LUCIAN GRAINGE

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored legendary music producer Sir Lucian Grainge with the 2,685th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 23, 2020.

CURTIS "50 CENT" JACKSON

50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, is an award-winning rapper, entrepreneur, actor and producer from Queens, New York. Recognized as one of the most talented and prolific music artists of his time, the Grammy Award winner rose to fame with his record-shattering debut album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” and has since sold more than 30 million albums worldwide and been awarded numerous accolades. Jackson has leveraged his talent to cross over with unparalleled success as an entrepreneur, actor and producer.

Jackson has carved out a thriving television and film career as both a best in class producer and star. In 2005, he founded G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. which has produced a wide variety of content across numerous platforms. Among these is “Power,” in which he not only co-stars but also serves as executive producer and director.

Jackson is the founder of G-Unity Foundation, which focuses on improving quality of life for low income or underserved communities by supporting nonprofit organizations that concentrate on the academic enrichment of children and supporting after school activities.

The dictionary defines harmony as “a combination of musical sounds considered to be pleasing.” The music world could define harmony as “The Lettermen”. For more than 50 years, The Lettermen-- Donovan Tea, Bobby Poynton and Rob Gulack, each of whom are entertainers in their own right—have kept the meaning of harmony alive with their soft, romantic, harmonic blend of music which is as popular with their fans today as it was in 1961 when they recorded their first hit, “The Way You Look Tonight”.

To their credit, The Lettermen have over 75 albums— numerous certified gold – and a myriad of hits including “When I Fall In Love”, “Come Back Silly Girl”, “Theme From A Summer Place”, “Goin’ Out Of My Head/Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You”, “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, “Hurt So Bad”, and “Shangri-La”.

After a career spanning over seven decades, The Lettermen have participated in many charities including: The Jerry Lewis Telethon, Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, Nashville’s Christmas for Kids and the Make a Wish Foundation.

Dr. Phil McGraw, one of the most well-known and trusted mental health professionals in the world, is the host of TV’s #1 daytime talk show, DR. PHIL. Now in its 18th season, this trailblazing - and award-winning - show continues to provide the most comprehensive forum on mental health issues in television.

Using the medium of television, Dr. McGraw has a unique ability to take complicated and technical information and make it accessible and understandable to the general public by presenting compelling stories about real people. His show is lauded for stripping away the shame and embarrassment that too often keeps people from seeking help.

Dr. McGraw and his wife, Robin, are well-known for their tireless advocacy for children and families. In 2003, Dr. McGraw established the Dr. Phil Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization funding many worthy projects benefitting disadvantaged children and families.

SID & MARTY KROFFT

Sid & Marty Krofft received the 2,687th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on February 13, 2020.

Brothers Sid & Marty Krofft have been producing quality family entertainment for more than 50 years. Sid & Marty first became a household name in the 70’s with quite a list of TV Shows. “H.R. Pufnstuf”, “The Bugaloos,” “Lidsville”, “Land Of The Lost”, “Sigmund & the Sea Monsters,” “Pryor’s Place”(starring Richard Pryor), “Far Out Space Nuts,” “Lost Saucer,” “The Krofft Supershow,” “Wonderbug and Bigfoot” and “Wildboy.” Witchiepoo, Chamber President & CEO Rana Ghadban, Sid Krofft, Marty Krofft, Maureen McCormick, Susan Olson, Christopher Knight, and H.R. The Kroffts centered their operation in Los Angeles, opening their show business ‘Factory’ in the early 60’s in the San Fernando Valley, where props, costumes, sets, road show stages and puppets were designed and built for Krofft projects as well as others in the industry. TV sets included the “All in the Family” set built just for the pilot but ended being used for two seasons.

Nick at Nite Classic TV recently honored the Kroffts by airing Puf-A-Palooza that brought back classic episodes of some of the Kroffts’ most beloved shows such as H.R. Pufnstuf, the original “Land of the Lost,” “The Bugaloos,” “Sigmund and the Sea Monsters,” and “Dr. Shrinker” to name a few. It was a smash, making Puf-A-Palooza one of the highest rated specials ever to air on Nick- at-Nite.

ANDY MADADIAN

Andy Madadian’s immense musical talent, humanitarian efforts and diverse background have culminated in a remarkable entertainment career spanning 40 years, during which he has become a beloved icon around the world. Andy has released 15 albums that have sold millions of copies internationally. Born in Tehran, Andy’s family came from humble beginnings. He grew up with nine people living in a small one-room house. But their house was filled with love, laughter and, most important for Andy, music.

Andy is credited for creating a new fusion of sound that combines the music of his Iranian-Armenian heritage with African rhythms, Spanish flamenco guitar licks, and Western dance music. His global, exotic sound reflects his international roots and experiences, which have allowed him to connect with millions of people around the world.

Today, Andy is the living proof of the American dream. A long-time resident of Los Angeles, the city’s diversity and rich culture have helped to continue to fuel his unique sound that has catapulted him to international superstardom.

SUSAN STAMBERG

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce proudly honored public radio host and correspondent Susan Stamberg with the 2,690th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Nationally renowned broadcast journalist Susan Stamberg is a special correspondent for NPR. Stamberg is the first woman to anchor a national nightly news program and has won every major award in broadcasting. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame and the Radio Hall of Fame. An NPR "founding mother," Stamberg has been on staff since the network began in 1971.

Stamberg has hosted several series on PBS, moderated three Fred Rogers television specials for adults, served as commentator, guest or co-host on various commercial TV programs, and appeared as a narrator in performance with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and in Wendy Wasserstein’s Broadway production, An American Daughter.

Susan is well known among younger women and journalists of color as an extraordinary mentor. She has been instrumental in organizing NPR workers. Her advocacy for women and minorities has been a core part of her career.

The Greek Theatre

Beetle House L.A.

The Beetle House is a year round celebration of Halloween with an artistic and thematic atmosphere inspired by horror culture, magic, and the artistic, literary and cinematic works of Tim Burton, Alfred Hitchcock, Bram Stoker, Washington Irving, Edgar Allen Poe and many more.
