Holmesfield Local Market Update
We are delighted to tell you all that following our marketing campaign across the globe, we have found a fantastic new trustee and volunteer to join our small team. We are delighted to welcome Kim Chaplain to the team. Kim will join us as a trustee to the charity and has a wealth of experience in this area having been a trustee for other charities in the Derbyshire region. Welcome Kim!
The Holmesfield Markets have got quite a following now in terms of stall holders and we are happy to tell you that the 15th April market is a complete sell out. We will be introducing some new stall holders as well as bringing back the regulars.
As you all know the market runs from 10am to 2pm so please do come and convene with your neighbours, stock up on craft products, food – delicious gluten free pies from the Angel, Peak District reared beef from Moorland Meat, or scrumptious hot bacon or sausage sandwiches from Moss Valley, not to mention our regulars in the drinks department – Loxley Gin and Woodthorpe Cider to name but a few. Kirsty will be there with the bread stall, and Andrea with her amazing cakes and much much more. Or just pop by for a cuppa as everyone is welcome!
This month we are delighted to tell you that the Holmesfield Local market will be funding another First Aid course which will be FREE to adults from the community. If you attend this course, you will be trained how to use the defibrillator as well as basic first aid. You will receive a certificate and a free first aid manual. We have 10 free places to offer on Saturday 13th May. Times are likely to be 10am – 12pm but subject to confirmation.

Holmesfield Footpaths And Bridleways Guide
The new edition of the Holmesfield Footpaths and Bridleways Guide is available, price £7.50. They are available temporarily from The Angel Inn, The Rutland Arms and also Dronfield Hall Barn.
Although there has been a delay in getting the books printed due to the Covid outbreak, the response from purchasers has been gratifying and the committee has been delighted. We hope you will enjoy walking some of the routes.
